Here’s a first look at the handmade leather accessories from Missoula, Montana’s own Draught Dry Goods. The items are function first, simply detailed products. The phone carry, shown above, is cut to house an iPhone 4 and ones cash and cards. Draught’s other leather goods are similar in relationship to the things housed within.

Yes, words are failing me on this one, but for those who understand this leather armor jacket from Margiela, we applaud you. “An individual, handcrafted piece made from 100% leather that was treated in-house to create a vintage effect. The leather was then cut into strips by hand and braided . Please handle with care- specialist clean only.” On the pricey side: $12,000. Oki-ni (of course).

Jam Home Made collaborates with a variety of design leaders to offer distinctive and inventive product. From January 2, 2011 their “Signature Collection” will include this wallet from masters of the shop interiors, Wonderwall. The firm says of the item, “minimal in size for easy carrying, simple and functional, the type of wallet one would think could be easily found but cannot be found anywhere-, that was KATAYAMA’s request. It’s the best wallet. You don’t need anything else other than this. It has a pocket for a smartphone in the centre, a couple of zip fastening pockets for banknotes and coins. It is also equipped with a chain to hold your keys. The hook for the belt loop is shaped and angled in such a way to prevent the wallet from rotating and gives easy access for the smartphone.”

Boston based, OMS tour a great tour through Fall River’s Lotuff and Clegg Leatherworks. “Housed in a small section of a large factory building, Lotuff and Clegg produces breifcases, bags, portfolios and an assortment of other small leather goods. Each item is handmade with the utmost care using the finest vegetable -tanned leathers available. SUPER wraps their flat tops in leather for Autumn 2010. The ZEISS lens based Italo made frames are now available with a secondary treatment which full engulfs the sunglasses. With three leather shades to choose from, you have options. I’m sure some will buy all three to ensure maximum compatibility.

SHIPS Japan as usual picks the proper partners for the co-brands. The horween leather boots above are worked with Hathorn Boots, which look to be part of the White’s family – a major favorite for our New England staff. The brown or black boots are built using leather from that famous Chicago tannery. The mid boot looks damn rugged when paired with the thick sole. (zozo)

R6 does something quite simple – combines the design savvy of 6876 with the manufacturing expertise of leather artisans Regent. The tw0-toned Leadberry belt is indicative of the collaborative effort. Simple leather and metal buckled belt, dash of intrigue with the contrast leathers. Wear with any fixed waist trouser or short.
