Leffot continues to output some of the better men’s shoes on the market right now. Their new driving mocassin offering is a strong and sporty collection of loafers in four styles: the Penny style features a strap across the front available in navy disco and a havana/cacao suede mix. The tassel look is made in snuff suede and finished in a lavanda/graphite combo. But who cares what we have to say about these. The looks speak for themselves… the blue’s all day.

Is there anything more heritage than a shoe shine? Alright, killing your own Thanksgiving turkey is slightly more heritage, but the act of a shoe shine, whether bought or done yourself while sitting on the corner of your bed, is such an old-timey, step-laden process that your mustache practically waxes itself as you buff. Now that we are done having hyperbolic fun, we point you to the Saphir Shoe Care Case.

If you have a serious pair of shoes, which every serious man probably should, you should probably also have a serious shoe shine kit such as this. Good buddies Alden and New York shoe shop Leffot teamed up for this temperate-hued Indy boot. As of this typing, the style is more than a mainstay, but you’ll definitely stand out in a pair made from blonde suede (and you might drive yourself insane trying to keep them spotless). The plantation crepe sole is also eye catching, for those choice moments when your feet are up on the desk.

Word is there was some discussion over how to describe the tone that settled on “marble.” Milkshake was in the mix, and we sort of prefer that descriptor. “These boots are like a milkshake for your feet”—sounds fitting for summer, non? Pick them up online or in-store.

Leffot have been eyeing up an Alden two-tone shoe for a while. Now it’s finally arrived in all its dandy glory. Of course, these automatically take you back to the early twentieth century – that pure white panel might be a little too gleaming for most folk, especially in contrast to the tan. However these incredible shoes should not be ignored as just a costume piece for revivalists at the Governors Island Jazz -Age Lawn Party. Wear them right and they can be pulled off the shiny new modern world.

Everyone’s a footwear aficionado these days. If you can’t name at least three types of sole then you may as well hand over your ‘Menswear’ membership card now. Well, that’s the word on the street anyway. If you’re feeling the pressure to keep up with, sincere apologies in advance,  the Crockett and Jones’, then these shoe horns should do the trick. Wolverine 1000 Mile and New York’s Leffot have teamed up to auction off a pair of their collaborative Wolverine 721 LTD Boots. The auction proceeds benefit the GlobalGiving project helping orphans in Japan rebuild after the tragic tsunami this past March 2011. The boot is based on an archival pattern from the Wolverine collection and is made from Horween shell cordovan leather. 1,000, hand-numbered pairs are being produced; the auction is for #0001.

Bidding has begun on eBay for the auction. We’re up to $610 at the moment. A very worthy cause.

How we miss Nick… our old pal may have moved onto bigger and “better” things over at Complex, but we still keep in touch. An “Eight for the Holidays” allows us the opportunity to pick his brains about the very best in his world today – rather,  goods and items that he would love in his world. Leffot introduce us to yet more fine footwear. Edward Green make some of the best shoes around but their Top Drawer collection takes it to another level. This is where ’smart’ becomes ’snazzy’. Yeah, we used the word ‘Snazzy’. Made with a more slimline feel these feature ‘a tighter and pronounced beveled waist, spade soles and finely turned edges.’ The Cuban heel goes against our current love for all things chunky but this is all about elegance and these guys do it just right.

Another spot on collaboration from this pair, you’d be hard pressed to find a product by these giants of footwear world that we wouldn’t happily slip our feet into. A fine pair of double stitched cap-toed boots, slim, smart with ‘a higher and slightly tapered toe box’ thanks to the Grant last. Horween shell cordovan, this particular variety is known as ‘Ravello‘, a colour, Leffot tell us, as rare as it is good-looking. These speaks for themselves, more images after the jump.
