We’re big fans of Leffot and Leffot are big fans of Alfred Sargent, the fact that they’re shoe buddies just makes us happy. Leffot, who will be taking orders during Sargent’s previously mentioned trunk show, preview the Milton. Details are as follows; ‘Milton AS53 Last, Black Calf, Fiddleback Soles Crib Edge’, which translated means this is a beautifully crafted, well put together piece of footwear. Leffot lets us know they’ve just received delivery of ‘The Fold’. If you’re not a fan of bulky wallets and just want something to protect your hard earned cash these might be just the thing. Somehow managing to sit between simple and flashy, a quick fold of the Horween shell cordovan leather and, as Leffort put it, ‘your cash is snugly secured in horse ass leather for safekeeping.’ Available in Rust, Natural, Oxblood, Natural and two sizes, this feels like the grown-up way to carry cash. -ld

Alden continues its successful run of collaborations with NY footwear store Leffot. Here we have the Ravello Plain toe Blucher, the name may not suggest simplicity but everything about this shoe shouts pared down goodness. Horween shell Cordovan, antique edge trimmed heels, Barrie lasts and a slim commando sole keep this shoe solid as opposed to chunky. High on detail, low on fuss. -ld

While Leffot specializes in footwear, the Greenwich Village store also knows hats. Prioritizing Summer cool, these new small brim hats by Borsalino are made from 90% paper fiber and 10% hemp. Coming in bleu or creme, the straw hats can be worn with the brim flipped up or down.

Leffot delivers some beautiful leather loafers for the boys looking to prep out ivy style. They’re made by Rancourt & Co Shoecrafters in Lewiston, Maine of all places (there is a special place in my heart for Lewiston). “These shoes are completely hand sewn on true moccasin construction so your feet are wrapped in cordovan top and bottom. Handsewn cordovan is extremely labor intensive. It takes the sewer approximately seventy percent more time to sew a cordovan shoe because there is simply no margin for error.”

From the photos, these mocassins from Leffot as delivered by Quoddy look damn tough. The red sole makes them look even more rugged than normal. The leather upper looks like it’s ready for a proper Spring/Summer run just about everywhere you want to take them. Horween leather does them right. Made in Maine but available only through Leffot in N.Y.C.

Hey! It’s Leffot’s third birthday. Happy birthday, Leffot. They celebrate with a new pair of shoes, of course! “We are proud to present the Leffot x Edward Green ‘Limited Edition’ 3rd Anniversary Westminster double monk strap shoe. These shoes are made to order on Edward Green’s 888 last in Genuine Horween navy shell cordovan. Each pair is hand numbered and includes lasted shoetrees.” Lutheran style.

The third and final in what has been a winning group of saddle shoes produced by Alden for Leffot has been unveiled. The most traditional, they say, of the bunch, this shoe features tan calfskin and a navy suede with brass eyelets (reminiscent of Blackbird’s first picnic saddle). Sitting on a red micro soles, these babies are “light as a feather.”

Leffot in NYC is on a roll at the moment. It would seem that every shoe or accessories project they touch just gets it right – a rare feat these days. The latest is their own in-house leather belt made from Horween leather. “Chromexcel is the original pull-up leather made with old world craftsmanship; it carries on a long history of superior comfort and durability.
