lego imagine minimalist cartoons 1 Lego Imagine Campaign Minimalist Toons
Our brethren over at HS turned us on to this whipsmart “Imagine” campaign from German agency Jung Von Matt. Lego replicas of iconic cartoon characters striped to their most base elements. TMNT, South Park, The Simpsons and more reduced to 3D color bars. The essence of artful understatement.

David Cole - Taxidermy Deer LEGO Kit

Facebook find on this one. This unofficial taxidermy deer LEGO kit falls well in line with my love of the mini-fig grey market. David Cole put these together by sourcing around for the necessary LEGO pieces. Comes with hand-written assembly instructions. Have fun. Online for $28.

Movie Posters Remade with Lego

Curated lets us know about this movie poster series:

“This type of thing never gets old. With a simple premise – take a preexisting movie poster and give it a little remix – there is always still enough “haha” moment to provide momentary enjoyment. Old Red Jelopy (great name) is responsible for this crop of remade movie posters, employing Lego figures in place of people. Fun stuff, and perfect fodder for pre-holiday weekend viewing.”

LEGO for Mercedes-Benz Unimog 60th Anniversary Vehicle

LEGO for Mercedes-Benz Unimog 60th Anniversary Vehicle

This is serious. LEGO helps Mercedes-Benz celebaret 60 years of their do-it-all Unimog vehicle in the form of a scale LEGO Technic replica that features 2048 elements all built in cooperation with Merceded-Benz. “The impressive vehicle which links a combination of electric drive and pneumatics has been produced… as a true adaptation of the original down to the smallest details… The so-called ” Power Functions ” run the pump of a pneumatically operated crane with a gripper arm that can rotate almost 360 degrees. With its gripper and the front winch, the Unimog can move any load out of the way.” It is a completely serviceable vehicle. We want one for the office.

Selectism - lego-letterpress-01

You know that feeling you get when you see something you had no idea you wanted but now you’ve seen it you can’t imagine living without it? That’s how we feel about Lego Letterpress. Our walls currently feel bare without a lego print on them. But then again, we’re probably just odd. There’s still some left on Physical Fiction so we’d advise getting there before we do.
