This new Polo Collectors Trunk fits that world perfectively. Who does not own or has owned at a certain point in time a Ralph Lauren polo shirt?! And they are still worth looking into. A great present and in general piece, a good one to own. We are big denim fans and cannot repeat enough how important it is to own a good pair. What many people out there still don’t understand is, that if you have one or two really good pairs, you do not need to buy them all the time. So, this kit seems perfect to get some old ones repaired. But we have never tried out working on denim, with this kit it is certainly something we are looking forward to.

For next years Olympic Games in Beijing Italian luxury brand Gucci presents a limited edition collection. The line labeled 8-8-2008, consists of a travel bag, digital watch, sneakers and more. The watch will already be released next month worldwide, unfortunately the rest of the collection will only be available in Asia, later in the year. The inspiration behind the collection was born when a Fred Perry designer unearthed a vintage Fred Perry t-shirt…for an Action Man!

Using this shirt for style references the classic Fred Perry shirt was ‘supersized’ and lead to the Little Big Action Man titles. Key details include oversized collar and cuffs, thicker tipping, large press stud fastenings and a heavier knitted pique styled in a slim-fit silhouette.

There are three items in the collection all iconic pieces from the Fred Perry collection; the traditional polo shirt, the track jacket and the classic tennis jumper. All styles carry the authentic 1950’s Fred Perry laurel worked in a heritage palette – shades of snow white and tartan green.
