Tod's Shoes by Jefferson Hack for Colette

Dazed & Confused, Jefferson Hack gets to work with Tod’s on a three-way capsule footwear collection featuring a loafer, lace-up and boot, available now at Colette Paris. The limited edition footwear from Tod’s get the Colette blue treatment on laces, sole, and stitching with all three shoes featuring black suede uppers. It is nice to see Mr. Hack in on this collection.

Grenson for Heritage Research Spring Summer 2012

hr grenson 01 Grenson for Heritage Research Spring Summer 2012

We continue our look at this most excellent of collaborations. Alongside the wingtip previously displayed, 4 more models to add to the list of shoes we need to wear very very soon, this time focusing on Spring Summer 2012. Our favourites have to be the cordovan bowling shoe and chunky loafer, the blue suede model with brick red English Dainite sole is a winner. HR tell us this collection is inspired by British photojournalist Larry Burrows and the general 60s counter culture theme running through Spring Summer. Excellent stuff as usual. Tassled to give you that ‘elegant Italian dad’ look, contrast stitching, calfskin lining and a slim profile make these a perfect work shoe or just a nice alternative to all the heavyweight footwear we’ve been indulging in. Put your name down for these beauties over at the store.

Sperry Camo Loafers for Penfield

Sperry Camo Loafers for Penfield

A peek at the Penfield x Sperry collaboration, two American standards who have combined forces in the spirit of New England togetherness. We’re rather taken with the camo loafer. Sure, they’re a statement and a half but the larger print makes for a more subtle military feel. Beefroll stitching and light sole, if you’re looking to, erm, dip your toe into the camouflage trend these might be a good starting point.

Narrative ‘Belmondo’ Loafer

Selectism - narrative-belmondo-loafer-01

We’re fans of anything named after French film stars. You want to get on this blog call your product the Anna Karina. We’ll post it. And we’re not even joking*. And our undying love for French cinema means we were always bound to post up this loafer from Narrative. We also like the fact that’s it’s available in baby calf leather and a Kudu variety (the leather’s from Guidi & Rosellini), and feels softer than a newborn baby and will age like the offspring of two supermodels.

Mr Hare ‘Genet’ Loafers

Selectism - mr-hare-genet-loafers-01

Here’s a shoe that’s back for the first time. If our memory serves us correctly, this is the loafer that was made for the debut collection but didn’t make it in due to technical issues. Thankfully not much has changed about it; it looks like the sexy beast of a loafer it always did. We’re aware of a dedicated team of anti tassel fans (we call ‘em antitasselers) but if you don’t like this shoe there is something wrong with your soul. (Oki-Ni)

acne 01 curatedmag Acne Slip Print Loafer

You’d think the most distinctive feature of a woven patterned loafer would be the upper, however Acne’s use of a blue leather sole provides a complimentary and unusual punch to their Slip Print loafer. Made in Italy, the loafers are available now from Oki-Ni.

Check the sole after the jump.

Church’s Pembrey Loafers

Selectism - church-pembrey-loafers-01We’ve showcased these Church’s loafers in our spring/summer 11 collection but here’s the first time we’ve seen them in stores. And no, we don’t count Church’s online store because we’ve not seen a site so un-user friendly. Luckily, they’re far more skilled at making loafers than making websites, so these are worth getting your mitts on them. (Herring Shoes)

Rancourt & Co Shoecrafters Loafers for Leffot

Rancourt & Co Shoecrafters Loafers for Leffot

Leffot delivers some beautiful leather loafers for the boys looking to prep out ivy style. They’re made by Rancourt & Co Shoecrafters in Lewiston, Maine of all places (there is a special place in my heart for Lewiston). “These shoes are completely hand sewn on true moccasin construction so your feet are wrapped in cordovan top and bottom. Handsewn cordovan is extremely labor intensive. It takes the sewer approximately seventy percent more time to sew a cordovan shoe because there is simply no margin for error.”
