There is a long series of suiting that accompanies the pre-Autumn Winter collection from Louis Vuitton. We did not pick up on those looks for this story. Everything else is here, but truthfully, those suits deserve another look at a later date. What we have here is a ready to wear collection tailored for the individual who wants a leg up on the end of the year “chiller” months with the option to prepare for an early frost. While not all the looks work for us, you are the individual who should really be making that choice. Trends aside, fashion is supposed to be personal and Louis Vuitton can help.

Nowness gives a nice behind the scenes look at the French luxury brand’s business in watch making, which they take like all things, very serious.

“Louis Vuitton unveils the inner workings of its new 18-karat white gold timepiece, the Tambour Minute Repeater, a collaboration with Swiss master horologists La Fabrique du Temps. True to the brand’s renown for handcrafted luxury travel accessories, Louis Vuitton’s Tambour employs complex mechanics to display one time while being able, upon request, to chime an alternative ‘home’ time.”

While the world of bicycle polo will shed a single tear as they see their sport being taken to new levels of luxury, others will appreciate the hand crafted work involved in fabricating the toe straps, mallet, and leather bar wraps used by Intersection Magazine in this shoot with Louis Vuitton. But they worked with bicycle polo players you say? Yes. Intersection was shown mood boards at Vuittons’ HQ. There they saw the early stages of what we have here. Custom straps and mallet, and even the chainring received special attention from Victorie. We like. (arkitip)

Aligning itself with the 25th anniversary of the introduction of the Louis Vuitton mark to the Australian market, the luxury goods maker prepares the opening of their “Maison” concept store in Sydney, Australia – the 13th of its kind in the world. The new Maison in Sydney offers two exclusive personalization services to the Asia-Pacific market: “The “Made to Order Shoes” service will enable gentlemen to choose among a wide variety of leathers and color combinations to create a pair of shoes that will suit their taste and personality.” Femmes will be serviced with the “Haute Maroquinerie,” affording them the option to customize the iconic handbag shapes and designs. Louis Vuitton Maison, Sydney opens on December 3, 2011.

Also on display is an Australian wildlife installations by artist Billie Achilleos. Kangaroos and Koalas have been constructed out of small Louis Vuitton leather goods by the artist.
