Luminox is set to release a new take on the field watch with the Atacama Field Series. “The Atacama is a region in northwest Chile where the Atacama Desert, one of the driest areas in the entire world, is found. This new series is the perfect compliment for such an environment…Offered in a day/date version at 42mm and a chrono alarm in both 42mm and 47mm, the timepieces have black dials with safari or tan markings on the dials that match the new rough suede split cowhide straps, or sunray blue dials with gray markings that match the gray suede straps, so all employ the Colormark concept that has performed so well in other Luminox models, where the dials are black (or dark blue) and the markings are in contrasting colors.”
Look for them in stores this October for around $400-$650 with the chronograph version being at the higher end.
