It’s been a back and forth year for the people behind the Geil Magazine. We’re not going to go into the back and forth politics of it all but we will report that issue one looks to be a reality. As Friller mentions, “Geil Magazine will be a more fashion oriented niche consumer magazine comprising about 260 pages, covering both the German and international fashion scene. The Spring 2009 issue of Geil Magazine features Lucien Tomkins on the cover by Bruno Staub.”

The new issue of Visionaire is out. Visionaire No. 55 “Surprise” is a collaboration with Krug.

“The new issue of Visionaire pushes the limits of paper with an issue devoted to pop-ups. Visionaire 55 Surprise collaborates with the House of Krug and features intricate pop-ups by Sophie Calle, Andreas Gursky, Cai Guo-Qiang, Steven Klein, Yayoi Kusama, Alasdair McLellan, Steven Meisel, Guido Mocafico, Nicola Formichetti/Gareth Pugh, Sølve Sundsbø, and Mario Testino. The pop-up folios are housed in a dark purple cloth-covered case with a magnetized closure and engraved metal plaque.”

Visionaire No. 55 “Surprise” is limtied to 4000 copies and is now available at colette.
