Lana Del Ray on the cover of T Magazine Spring Women's Fashion

With almost nothing to do with menswear, we share the news that the much loved, loathed beauty names Lana Del Rey get the cover not for T Magazine’s Spring Women’s Fashion issue – out February 19th. The singer looks as good as we have seen her in this most natural of looks. Thank you for that, T Mag. Oh, and Terry Richardson shot the debutante styled looks.

And, Lana, keep smiling. A tough show will always make you stronger.

iloveyou magazine issue7 1 I Love You Magazine Issue #7 Tyra Banks on the Inside

I Love You Magazine is the print mag that represents a female point of view for the most part, but that does not stop us from enjoying the oversized format of the magazine with its overlay gloss covers and matte finish papers on the inside. Tyra Banks gets the cover this month and she does open up a bit for the independent publication. We share some of our favorite looks after the click. Pick it up at better newsstands for the woman in your life.

The Journal Magazine Entry #31 - A Look Inside

Entry #31 of The Journal, based in Brooklyn, NY is a strong continuation of the Michael Nevin and team’s view into all things worth documenting. With the help of numerous contributors, The Journal collects together everything from writings, performance and photography, as well as a very strong zine review and selection – a topic very close to my heart. We offer select looks from inside entry #31 for you to decide. In many respect, the periodical itself follows that classic zine format or bringing together a mash

If you have not picked up The Journal in the past, we strong suggest you take a look at this wonderful publication. They are documents worth viewing and re-viewing as all good books and periodical deserve. Buy your copy online at Thejournalinc.com.

Rolling Stone Italy Debuts Rock & Roll Style, Vol. 1

rolling stone rock roll style issue 01 1 Rolling Stone Italy Debuts Rock & Roll Style, Vol. 1

One of the take homes from this past Pitti was a strong periodical from the minds behind Rolling Stone Italia.

Specially produced for the Italian reader during Pitti and Milan Fashion Week, Rolling Stone Italia’s Rock & Roll Style, Volume 1 is a well thought out men’s fashion and lifestyle publication that is of very high production. Photography and topics inside the publication remain current and tend to the needs of the Italian gentleman reading them. Inside readers will find everything from fashion tips, reviews, to detailed schematics of Brooks Saddles and Victorinox knives.

Props should be given to the staff at Rolling Stone Italy for putting this issue together. Clearly they worked overtime in bringing this special project to the market. It looks fantastic as you can see from my well read copy above.

If Rock and Roll Style featured split Italian/English text, it would give many of the men’s magazines on the market today a serious run for their money. Did we mention that it is a free publication?

They discuss their feelings toward the position, the highs and lows they encountered, and the real reason they went for the gloves.” The only thing that’s missing is a mid 90’s David Seaman sticker set.

okolo 01 OKOLO Magazine Issue #3 Vienna Only

Okolo Magazine returns for its third issue, this time focusing on the Austrian capital. “Renowned for Art Nouveau, traditional crafts, architect Adolf Loos, gigantic schnitzels and delicious coffee, the city prepared for us a series of unique encounters thanks to which we were able to form our own perspective of the Austrian capital.” Aside from some great features and photography, the magazine is worth a flick through for the design alone.

The OKOLO group, a collective of creative types involved in fashion, architecture, and art, even developed their own font for the issue; OkoloMono designed by Jan Novák.
