Now available at Por Vocação is this new twist on Maison Martin Margiela’s Replica sneaker (itself a riff on the classic Adidas Samba). We definitely like what’s going on here: woven canvas fabric with lots of pixel squares washing over the toe, giving the impression that you’ve kicked in a flatscreen and pulled back digital remnants. Bonus: you can wear these without laces, thanks to some stabilizing straps on the tongue. Other than that, what more can we say? These gems speak pretty well for themselves.

MMM’s tote of the season would seem to be this leather gem. It features the signature Margial quad stitch pattern a beautiful external finish. Inside, it pack a variety of compartments for your goods. But the outside is the key. No one really cares what the inside offers but you. Oki-ni has them.

It’s fair to say we like Martin Margiela. We think we’ve featured just about every Margiela cardigan he’s done in the last few years and can you blame us? It looks great. It doesn’t really fit into the sprezz look but we’re fans of picking inspiration from everywhere as opposed to mining one look until you get bored. (LN-CC)

Yes, words are failing me on this one, but for those who understand this leather armor jacket from Margiela, we applaud you. “An individual, handcrafted piece made from 100% leather that was treated in-house to create a vintage effect. The leather was then cut into strips by hand and braided . Please handle with care- specialist clean only.” On the pricey side: $12,000. Oki-ni (of course).

Here’s a teaser announcement for a capsule collection with Maiston Martin Margiela under the name “MM6 Maison Martin Margiela x Opening Ceremony.” Yes, it is a women’s only garment and accessories collection for Autumn/Winter 2011. Now we sit back and wait for the looks. You can view the collection by appointment beginning on Feb. 10 in NYC. More to come.

I have accessories on the the mind today. I love this solid state money holder from Margial for Spring 2011. For those rocking the 99cent UNIQLO card holders as wallets, this is a considerable upgrade in that space. A beautiful piece of lacquered wood. Grain looks wonderful. Oki-ni has them.

Burgundy and navy are the two colorways Oki-ni has of the new Maison Martin Margiela 11 folding leather wallet. They’re part of the MMM pre-Spring/Summer 2011 collection. The mix of zip and fold win me over, though it is a bit too gutty for me. Maybe a few weeks int he back pocket will slim it down some.
