Do you remember when we interviewed the guys behind brand new tradeshow MAN? If the answer’s no then head back in time to here. Well, its first outings in NYC and Paris were a resounding success so we thought we’d share a few images from the floor to give you an idea of what went down on Rue Froissart in the Marais district. A new tradeshow hits Paris and New York this year in the form of MAN. Looking to bring something different to a crowded market and working on the basis of Quality before Quantity, a select line-up of brands includes Bleu de Chauffe, Kitsuné Tee, Steve Mono, Jojo Messenger and Fred Perry Laurel Wreath. A resident of the French capital, heading up the team is Antoine Floch who takes time out to tell us a little about his new venture, the Paris menswear scene and working with creative agency Les Imaginers.

Junya MAN for Autumn 2011 is coming along nicely. Check this padded vest they worked with the masters at Duvetica. “This fully reversible goose-down padded Gilet features corduroy and tweed panelling as well as the a plaid cotton inner, combining bold styling with all the warmth and protection from the elements you’d expect.” END has them.

Junya has been receiving a wave of press as of late, and deservedly so. Another example of his progressive (and often flamboyant) design skill comes in the form of the Contrast Placket shirt. The shirt includes a variety of special details; a dark chambray front placket which provides a subtle contrast to the body of the garment, an inverted box pleat, houndstooth yoke/cuff lining and a cotton twill tape finishing the length of chambray. Though the various accents may sound terribly busy, they do sit well together, reaffirming Junya’s lofty spot on our collective style radar. Available at Union Los Angeles. -jr

A dynamite patchwork shirt from the Junya Watanabe MAN collection. It is a bit of a commitment on this shirt. The patchwork has much happening on the front. Play it smart and act like it deserves you. Welsted front pockets and a slew of details to enjoy. Goodhood has it.

Another one from the the CdG, Junya MAN collection. This cotton border shirt features strong detailings against the stripe base. Material on the shoulders and patchwork on the elbow add accents that make it unique. While priced high, this is a deserving addition to your closet. (v)

GQ UK is on point with this look at the MAN Spring 2011 line. It is an interesting one. “One of the most talked about shows of London Fashion Week, three designers showcased their work for MAN. Martine Rose kicked off with Cut and Paste, which she described as an “energetic mish-mash of colour, print and bold apocalyptic silhouettes”. A glorious riot of citrus colours, technical fabrics and pale camouflage prints in pastel colours, we haven’t seen anything this bold since MIA’s album artwork.”

Dazed gives a look inside the new Vivienne Westwood MAN Store in London. “A few doors down from 44 Conduit Street, the classic retail home of Vivienne Westwood, there is now a Westwood MAN store! Cue joyful screams. For far too long the male Westwood shopper has been forced to venture down the stairs to the cellar of No. 44, but with last week’s shop launch, dedicated male customers can now spread out to fully enjoy themselves. The shop – at 18 Conduit Street – have the textural qualities of stone, ‘shuttered’ concrete, rusted steel and wide oak boards as flooring. Nickel-plated rails and cabinets will provide a crisp contrast to this earthy tone.”
