The Marc Jacobs team shows us their new collection for Spring/Summer. This 100% lamb “leather jacket with a pop pocket detail” has a knit waistband and cuff. The garment comes in a granite colorway and has the washed leather that gives a really interesting hue to the fabric.

HS picks up some cycling caps from the Marc Jacobs side. “Marc by Marc Jacobs presents their new bicycle hat. The hat comes with an elastic all around and a short brim. It is available in one checker wool colorway with a bit of a classic appeal and in a range of solid colorways with a stripe design going all over the upper. The hats are now available at Marc by Marc Jacobs stores.”

We’ve been overloading on parkas this season but what can we say? They’re the best for adverse weather. While we love a duffel, they just don’t deal with wet weather as well as a good ol’ parka does. We haven’t seen many ‘designer’ parkas out, but this one looks just as good as many ‘blokeswear’ parka we can think of. We’re as shocked as you are that it’s by Marc Jacobs – it could easily slot into Albam’s outerwear collection. At £385, it falls into that ‘relatively affordable but not exactly cheap’ bracket that most diffusion lines are priced at. (Matches)

Racked LA give coverage to the new Marc by Marc Jacobs Menswear Shop which opened in Melrose. “We finally made it over to the new Marc by Marc Jacobs men’s shop, which, as previously noted, has taken over the former Diabless space next door to the main shop. Staffers told us that the move was prompted by a desire for more breathing room, particularly to better show off the brand’s collection of low-priced “special items”. These offbeat goodies have taken pride of place in the center of the store, ranging in price from $1.50 condoms to $7 leather bracelets, $14 cashmere ankle socks to $28 rain boots and everything in between.”

A new Marc By Marc Jacobs Store will be opening soon in Paris. For the occasion the brand presents the "Marc Jacobs Loves Everyone" tee. The t-shirt will be available exclusively at the new Paris store.

As reported by us the last edition of Interview Magazine had Marc Jacobs in Warhol looks on the cover. Also Marc Jacobs released a t-shirt with the magazine cover and was recently interviewed by Charlie Rose on this collaboration.

Now they also released under the Marc By Marc Jacobs label a limited edition "Interview Magazine" tote bag. 100% of the proceeds go to the Andy Warhol Museum Pittsburgh.

DNR is reporting news that Marc Jacob’s “Marc by Marc Jacobs” will open their first doors in Europe in 2008. “The designer is set to unveil his first fully owned Marc by Marc Jacob stores in Europe this year, DNR has learned. It will bow at Place du Marché Saint Honoré by the end of 2008, with a door in London to debut in early 2009. A flurry of others openings across Europe are to follow thereafter. “
