The forthcoming Burkman Brothers Spring Summer 2012 collection feels all Hawaii. The brothers behind the line spent some time in the 50th state and it has clearly influenced their collection. The “Polynesia -meets-America vibe” comes through in various garments including, hiking shorts with tropical color combos and original patterns. Loose fit, relaxed pants will also be discovered. Burkman Brothers accessories fan need not worry: there are still plenty of bracelets and more for you to choose from.

Italy’s Esemplare continues to push their fine collection of outerwear for Autumn/Winter 2011. The collection is a large one so we’ll look at the knits for a while. 100% merino and lana merino extrafine wool is used throughout the collection on cardigans and beyond. Above we show the wool hooded cardigan with a detachable hand quilted vest. We imagine this garment will be as warm as it looks. Much more to see from Esemplare in our gallery.

The b store Brentwood blazer gets a makeover with this grey wool ’salt and pepper’ blend. Shorter in the body and slim fit it features notched lapels, three front pockets and contrast white buttons. These guys really know how to create something casual but with a nod to tailoring, in terms of creating modern, accessible menswear it’s hard to argue with their consistency over the past few years. -ld
