As though we needed another Comme des Garcons filing for the day, Nomad of Toronto has received stock of CDG’s Forever Shirt line. The name "Fovever" looks to signify the look of the button downs that are sublte and traditional. Nothing over ornate on these. In fact, they’re looks that will last (and have) for some time.

Knitwear clothier Feal Mor based in Brittany on the coast of France was started by Jan Ghazi and J.P. Plunier a few years back. They are back for Fall 2008 with a new offer of surf and music inspired basics. Do not expect your usual basics from Feal Mor. Look for heavy duty constructions made to survive for years. Time for some fresh footwear for the Fall and Winter. The Generic Man has unleashed their seasonal collection for 2008 and 2009 Fall/Winter which consists of eight different models in a variety of colors and fabrics. Mochman is killing it for us here in the office as is the Sportsman. We love the hi-tops, dammit.

Filmmaker Wong Kar Wai spend some time traveling through the United States scouting new locations for the filming of his movie, My Blueberry Nights, which was released this past April. Wai took a great deal of photos during his travels and has worked with Opening Ceremony in presenting them as t-shirts and postcards. "Each image of California, Nevada, Tennessee, New Mexico and New York represents a different encounter within the film…" Oki-ni has online exclusive to this range of shirts.

Senor Williams over at ACL directs us to a very well written article in the latest issue of GQ entitled, "Use Your Head : The GQ Guide to Buying a Hat." "The handy guide from GQ basically breaks down everything you need to know to wear a hat without looking like you just got off a flight from LAX. Much respect to GQ for making the guide without including pictures of Justin Timberlake or Brad Pitt."

German based label, Bless, describes their denim jackets as "the re-interpreted urban cloakroom." By mixing a hooded embroideries onto the top of and shoulders of the denim, the jacket has an overall feel of the classic hoody/denim wear as worn by city dwellers for decades. The arrangement may not be unique but the build and structure of the Bless jacket keeps this piece fresh and modern. Available not at Colette.

Following a hectic week in NYC for NYFW, we offer some runway looks for the excellent Cassette Spring 2009 Collection. Their first runway event, Cassette is "inspired by winters first thaw and the seasons symbolic new beginnings, the Spring 09 collections embody Cassettes own voyage and growth as a fashion force." Yes, we are fans.

Thom Browne’s Spring/Summer 2009 runway shows was clearly more subdued than past shows. The tennis themed show presented the news looks in a manner that adhered to the strict guidelines of the gentleman’s racquet sport. No over the top stage show this time around. They play was on vest suits and mens shorts with a dash of mini-dresses tossed in. Our favorite look included a below the crotch waist short trouser. You have to see it. Quality lies not only in the visible details but in the touch and feel of a piece of clothing. We’re assuming that Blackbird is not letting us down when they describe Japan’s N. Hoolywood collection of under garments, "Under Summit Wear" as being the best of the best. These are under garments. Not basics, so the idea of spending upwards of $155 for a t-shirt may stop many dead in the tracks but take into consideration that someone clearly believes this is worth every last dollar. Or assume that the gorgeous presentation in stackable boxes may be part of your purchase. Either way, we’re fascinated with N. Hoolywood garments and hope you are as well.
