Mismo have a new addition to the family. As part of their continuing collaboration with Copenhagen retail space Storm fashion, they’ve added this weekend bag to their line up.

Details-wise, the story remains the same; the bag is clean and simple, the trimmings are leather and the canvas is heavy-duty and high quality (they use the same canvas as Hermes and Luis Vuitton). Colours range from blues to a ‘curry’ colour, perfect for those who like to make a stylish statement. Pre-release on Tres Bien,  full release in December.

This will come as no surprise to readers of Selectism. Men’s Bags are killing the accessories market at the moment. WWD reinforces this to their readers with a short piece on the matter. “For spring, designers are reintroducing backpacks and updating the weekender, both key components of a dynamic lifestyle. The backpacks fall into two camps: a high-tech, outdoor sport version that tends toward colorful nylon, or a bohemian, artisanal version in worn cotton canvas or leather. The new weekender appears in a variety of statement colors and leather treatments such as perforation, embossing and texturized effects.” Since Mismo is left off the list, we’ll show it above.

Mismo, the Danish makers of fine luggage, are bringing out a new colourway of their canvas collection. Instead of changing the whole collection every season, Mismo have sensibly decided to add different colourways that compliment the existing collection. The new colourway is called curry and the entire collection, from holdall to laptop sleeve, will be available in this colour. The collection will be dropping at Oki-Ni around the end of July.

Danish company Mismo have produced a line of bank bag like totes which cost as much as they hold. At 1200$US, these totes made from “heavy duty plain-woven canvas” may be some of the most luxury prices canvas bags on the market. Our mistake! The pricing is in Swedish Kroner putting it closer to 235$US. A much more reasonable sale. Lucky for us, we can choose between three looks. Available now from Tres Bien.

For the first time we report today about Mismo, a small Danish bag firm, that presents clean lines and premium materials on their bag collection. In recent years we have become obsessed with bags and every couple of months we come across something that we "need" to have.

Now the issue with leather bags is, that if you change too often, you will never end up having that nice worn look on them. The saying "leather gets more beautiful with time" is something that we believe in, thus one has to make up his mind and use the bags one chooses to buy.
