We’re fans of the photography in the  Mjölk lookbook for Spring/Summer 2012, as we are with key garments in the collection; all of which look to offer very distinct cuts which move aware from the formed shapes of the classic silhouettes of the past few years. Expect oversized fits that may fall on your form in new manner. Check the high waist, slim leg men’s trousers are of interest, as is the track suit with its exaggerations. Much love to Mjölk on the grey wide leg shorts.

Mjolk is calling their new online men’s shop, “a curated space for all of designer Lars Stoten’s favourite things.” There you’ll find a full selection of Mjolk’s main Spring/Summer 2011 collection alongside a generous assortment of hand-crafted goods from various cities across this big-wide world: footwear crafted in Italy, shoulder bags, attaches, belts and buckles made in New York City and Rhode Island.  We profile some of those online exclusives here.

Following up on the Mjolk video shown recently, we bring you styled looks from their forthcoming Autumn/Winter 2011 collection. The collection features some of the more interesting knits for the season. While slightly oversized, they fall “flat” on the body, like many of the collection’s tops (standouts shown above). Trousers run the range with drop crotch and fitted looks that should work for most. (cqc)

A look at the forthcoming collection from Mjölk for Autumn/Winter 2011.

With January sales looming, we can’t fully recommend buying full price purchases. Why bother when it’ll all be half price in a couple of weeks? But, with that being said, there are usually a few pieces that run the risk of selling out before the sale hits – and everyone’s got at least one non-buyers remorse story to tell.

Given the attractive pricing (£100 at the time of asking) this could easily turn into another of those ‘I ummed and aahed for too long’ tales for anyone too hesitant to pull the trigger. (Topman)

We know Stansfield will hate us for saying this, but workwear has become a popular trend this winter. Whether that’s a good thing or not is an another discussion (one we might have on this site sometime), but there’s no denying that there are people who simply see it as another trend, rather than a shift in the way we approach our clothes.

What’s this got to do with Mjolk, you ask? Well, if it were styled right this piece could easily pass as a workwear-like piece. It wouldn’t stand in the court of Cabourn, but if you’re only wearing it in front of other bloggers who’d know the difference? It’s not like the bloggers aren’t just following trends anyway. We’re sticklers for detail. And so is Mjolk’s Lars Stoten, judging from his recent appearance on Fader TV – where he took the time to cut off the tiniest bit of thread from his jacket mid-interview. One of the things we’re obsessed with right now is a slim sole, and ,if this Mjolk shoe is anything to go by, designers are indulging us.

Mjolk have been using this shape for a while now, but this suede version is their best yet. The reasons we like these are threefold. 1) the shade of the suede, 2) the contrast sole and 3) the laces. (Revolve)

Lars Stoten gave us a quick preview of the Mjolk Footwear collection for Spring 2010. The footwear is made in Italy and required pulling some craftsman out of retirement to accomplish (more on that later). The finished product is clearly some of the most refined looks we viewed during (capsule) NY. The burgundy wine finished leather oxfords shine strong on display or on your feet.

Ready to go at a moment’s notice is this easy to pack and iron Mjolk shirt with bow tie. It’s a simple concept – a shirt with a top button clasp which is outfitted with a bow tie. It is cut short at the sleev and finished in a nice blue. Again, you may not need it at the moment, but when you do…. (asos)
