Still reblogging pictures from Pitti? Stop that, Milan fashion week kicked off this weekend, with Moncler Gamme Bleu’s collection showing on Sunday. Whatever your opinion of Browne, his collections are always worth viewing.

While it seems that many have never forgiven Thom Browne for failing to be the second coming of Ralph Lauren (apparently that title’s now been passed onto Michael Bastian) the Moncler Gamme Bleu range is still going strong. In fact our only problem with the range is that we can’t afford it, can someone give us the hook up? (Farfetch)

Moncler’s Gamme Blue runway is one of the better presentations in menswear season to season. To many it is a complete standout which remains very focused in the designer’s vision. The look is clear – when you view the collection, you understand it to be Thom Browne’s work based on his usual use of greys, but do expect more. Color – red and green for starters –  surrounds the collection through accents and at times trousers, hunting tops, and more. The sad pup above is just upset he didn’t get fitted. (gq)

We’re tempted to make one of those plaid/played jokes that everyone makes when mentioning plaid but we decided against it. Instead we’re just gonna admire this jacket and hope we find a sugar mama/daddy (we’re not fussy) so we can afford it. Hopefully we’ll get it before it’s plaid out! Sorry, we couldn’t resist. Fur collared coats have a tendency to look rather ogliarch-esque at the best of times, but this one bucks the trend. It actually looks like something you could wear to a football game (although you would have your own box, no sense mingling with the commoners in a £1,200 coat). And before anyone starts, no we don’t know if it’s real fur or not. We don’t want beef with Peta. (Farfetch)

Now here’s a piece we wish we had the spare coins for. There’s not much we can fault with Moncler Gamme Bleu – aside from the price. It’s a piece that guaranteed to be seen all over the place at Pitti Uomo (and conversely, on all those tumblrs that have an unhealthy love with all things Italian). If you’ve got the coins (and that’s a huge if), then this should be a no brainer. (Farfetch)

Thom Browne works the Moncler Gamme Blue collection once again for Spring/Summer 2010. With the collection dedicated to summer sports, it is no surprise to see this easy on and off canvas jacket with easy open/close snap closures. Better than a simple snap it, the close locks into place – making the jacket “ideal” for active wear. Available now at Colette.
