You’re not going to go far wrong with these two. Norse Projects and Ally Capellino continue their accessories partnership. The Fjell rucksack, originally available in canvas, returns in nylon and all the good looks of its older brother. “The tough, water resistant nylon exterior acknowledges the fundamental demand for a hard-wearing rucksack and is united with a suede base and classic ‘Ally’ leather straps. Simplicity is god. Or, in the case of Norse Projects’ collaboration with Pro-Keds: simplicity is Odin. Minimalism certainly wins out in their reworking the Royal Master sneaker. Here, NP delivers three colorways inspired by their Copenhagen environs: specifically the ocean, the beach and old town. Pigskin suede, a cork inner sole and leather lining make for a classic look and feel indeed. The aniline dyed leather heel tab is just a nice little touch on a solid understated piece of fancy footwear that we’d like to wear in the old town and on the beach; but not in the ocean. -jt

Ah, corduroy. You make a great pair of trousers and here you go turning a seemingly ordinary shirt into something kind of special. We appreciate George Costanza’s dream to drape himself in velvet if it were socially acceptable, it’s pretty much how we feel about cord. Manchester and Copenhagen come together for a cold/wet weather jackets that is sure to get your wallets warm. Norse Projects debut their Spring/Summer 2011 collection with an arsenal of great pieces.”SS11 draws inspiration from bare-footed beach days in the long and mystical Scandinavian summer light, and as always, our long and rich Nordic history.” The “Alvar” Jacket is a “nordic inspired anorak,” that is made in the United Kingdom. The jacket comes in two colorways: freesia, a light yellow color and stellar – a almost sky blue color. The extended elbow detail that hits the cuff of the wrist is not only aesthetically nice, it looks like that part is re-enforced. A great piece that would really help with the unpredictable weather conditions.
