Capsule Spring/Summer 2011 | Norse Projects

Selectism - norse-projects-spring-2011-01

Of all the brands we cover at Capsule, Norse Projects was the only one we received a number of emails about. Without giving the whole game away, the collection is as strong, wearable and affordable as ever (despite the blazer we chose being the most expensive piece in the whole collection). The Elka collab jacket gets an update, with a two tone colouring that’s nowhere near as abrasive as it sounds, as well as some nicely tapered cargo shorts and a purdy looking pullover jacket (pictured above).

Take a leap to see the rest of our selection.

Norse Projects Chambray Shirt

Selectism - Norse Projects Chambray Shirt

We love Norse Projects here at Selectism. This chambray shirt from their Spring/Summer collection is a favorite in this editor’s closet. Need Supply has it in stock Stateside. “Chambray button down with a one-wash treatment. Pockets at chest with button closures.” A sailor shirt?  Not really. It’s more like a lounger. Rock it.

Norse Projects ‘Milkman’ Overshirt

Selectism - norse-projects-milkman-shirt-01

We’re all about the overshirt this spring. It’s an easy method of layering up and you’ll avoid the too hot/too cold problem that blights us when the weather’s still deciding which way it wants to go. What we really like about this piece (aside from the functional side pockets) is the space for pattern mixing. While you can be sensible shoe dave and wear it with a plain tee, a much better solution would be to be a nice contrasting pattern as an undershirt – the crazier the better.  (Goodhood)

Elka for Norse Projects Rain Coat

03 March 2010, 18.30 | Posted in Fashion | No comments »

selectism - norse-projects-elka-raincoat-01

Despite all our optimistic recommendations of shorts and other lightweight garb, you can be sure that it’ll rain at some point. Which is why you need a coat like this. Made in collaboration with rainwear experts Elka, this Norse Projects rain coat will protect you from any random downpour coming your way  – and you’ll look good doing it. Why did we highlight the red colourway over the olive green and navy ones? Glad you didn’t ask.  Even the most stylish of stylish men (and if you’re reading this site, you’re undoubtedly part of that elite) can go overboard when it comes to purchasing jackets in one colourway. Consider this a colour boost to the murky navy waters of your wardrobe. (Norse Store)

Norse Projects Spring/Summer 2010

Selectism - Norse Projects Spring/Summer 2010

Denmark’s Norse Projects has been on our radars for some time. Our brother site has covered it in detail, but we found their Spring/Summer 2010 collection a very fitting one for our site as well. Their roots are mixed. Scandinavian simplicity, which is still running its course in trend, is mixed with a subtle touch of that unique street “fashion forward” aesthetic that Northern Europe brings. What you see is what is delivered with Norse Projects.

Norse Projects Crewneck Jumper

03 September 2009, 17.22 | Posted in Fashion | 2 comments »

selectism - norse-projects-crewneck-jumper-01

While the astute streetwear guy usually picks a few ‘fashion’ pieces and mixes them into their wardrobe, you rarely saw a more fashion focused guy doing the same thing the opposite way. However, with varsity jackets, high tops and rucksacks all getting back in fashion, this is slowly changing.

It’s because of this that we can show a piece from Norse Projects, a decidedly streetwear brand (they even have a column over at High Snobiety). We don’t have much to say about the jumper itself, really; it’s a good piece, so we featured it. It’s as simple as that. (Norse Projects)
