Luxist checks in with news on next month’s opening of the Panerai’s NYC Boutique; its second stand along store in the USA behind Los Angeles. “Panerai has been on an expansion binge of late, with recently opened shops in Florence, Portofino, Hong Kong and Shanghai. In addition to the NYC store, openings are planned for Buenos Aires, Madrid, Qatar and Dubai. The furnishings in the Panerai Boutiques are inspired by the sea, as Panerai started out supplying instruments to the Royal Italian Navy.”

Vintage is pouring out of the seams of this Schott NYC Cotton and Leather Racer Jacket. A great look which works well for the moto crowd as well as the club crowd. "Operations , one of my favorite military inspired labels is opening their  second location in Nyc’s Meatpacking District this month. Daiki Suzuki’s Engineered Garments has been a Selectism favorite for a while now. The refined re-interpretation of classics from the brand, get us excited every season. Now Odin’s concept shop Den, which only carries one brand at a time, will be carry Engineered Garments exclusively for a couple of months.

"The shop will also sell the new Workaday line and E.G.’s first women’s collection. (In other words, bring your girl.) In keeping with the brand’s m.o.—namely, giving workwear a fashion-forward twist—the 350-square-foot space has been dubbed a "Country Store," and will carry J.W. Also this partnership we have already announced. Finally Colette will come to New York City (well, for a little while at least) thanks to Gap. Below all the details on the roll-out of this project.

"Gap has commissioned renowned Paris boutique colette to create a special one-month installation in Gap’s rotating concept store adjacent to the New York City flagship store at 54th and 5th Avenue. The collete x GAP store will be open from « September 6 through October 5, 2008. This exciting endeavor marks the first colette store in the United States, making the brand’s sought-after items available to U.S. consumers for the first time ever. Similar to the Parisian store, colette x GAP store will offer a mix of hard-to-find products from around the world and cater to an ever-evolving mix of genres and tastes alike."

Something to look out for!

For those that miss passing into the old Dunderdon Shop next to Supreme in NYC, have no fear. Dunderdon did not close; they simply moved. Now located at 25 Howard, Dunderdon continues to provide some excellent premium work-wear that crosses nicely into lifestyle. Visit them now.

With the new Gucci flagship store on 5th avenue in NYC just around the corner of opening, the Italian luxury brand has got some special products aligned. They will be releasing a “Gucci Hearts NY” collection.

“Gucci is also launching a special microsite to go along with the launch of the “Gucci Hearts NY” products. All “Gucci Hearts NY” and Fifth Avenue products can only be purchased at the new Fifth Avenue store and each bears an inscribed internal “Gucci 5th Avenue” plaque” Via FWD.

Something to look out for! The “Hearts NY” idea is maybe not the most original, but at least they are starting to do specials for such events, which is definitely something a lot of people will be buying into!

New York already has one of the nicest A.P.C. stores in Soho, and now luckily they got another one, A.P.C. Surplus. The new store, located in Williamsburg, will be carrying will be acting as an outlet and will also carry special vintage one-offs, making it definitely a store to check out once in a while.
