Grenson for ODIN Oxford Shoe and Chukka Boot

grenson for odin shoes front Grenson for ODIN Oxford Shoe and Chukka Boot

ODIN New York expands their reach by working with Grenson on two excellent shoe models – a chukka boot and a canvas oxford. We’re pretty much in love with both models. The chukka boot looks to be made from full grain leather on the upper and finished nicely in black, while the oxford – the stand out model – is finished in black canvas with brown laces and a full wood heel. Very well done.

More detailed views of the Grenson for ODIN NY chukka boot and canvas oxford after the jump.

Richard Chai is the latest designer to take over ODIN’s single brand concept shop, DEN, in NYC. “The Den space reflects a minimal and architectural approach, one that parallels the Richard’s design sensibility.  The installation will carry a large part of his Men’s Spring 09 collection that was presented in Paris along with some new and exclusive pieces cut specially for the store.  In addition to the men’s collection will be a small capsule of Richard Chai womenswear, which features such signature design elements as French seaming, arc details, and refined tailoring. Also showcased in Richard’s installation will be the artwork of his friend, artist Daniel Peddle. His collages, created from found and recycled papers serve as the backdrop for the store.”

Forget the pop-up shop, Portland, Oregon’s Entermodal is bringing their fine artisans to ODIN’s 199 Layfayette Street location for three days. They plan to set up a small scale version of their working studio bringing with them their custom tool set, a stitching horse, and an assortment of “never before released leather options, colors, and linings.” From the looks of it, designer and owner, Larry Olmstead and his team will be working around the clock getting all the goods made in store ready for the holidays.

ODIN New York Online Store Launched

odin new york online store ODIN New York Online Store Launched

The moment has finally come. ODIN, named by DNR as the third most influential men’s store in the USA, has opened their online doors this evening. From the looks of the online store, they’re limiting the offering to featured designers- Robert Geller, Engineered Garments, Entermodal, Band of Outsiders, and Nepenthes. But have some patience with the new site as not all seems to be running smoothly yet.. Specifically, products have no brands attached to their descriptions. We can only assume this will be fixed shortly. Congrats to ODIN for joining the Internet shopping spree.
