Yoox has been a power-house of success teaming with many high end brands looking to take part in the online shopping experience. Moncler.com is the latest to enter the market with a flagship online shop. The new site is optimized for tablet experiences as well, making it an easy pass into the world of iPads and beyond. The new Moncler.com site will also familiarize buyers with the innovation and sub-lines under the Moncler umbrella including Moncler S, Moncler V, and the Grenoble works.

Nothing is stopping the movement of luxury into the online world. Where just years ago, luxury brands would almost flat out refuse the kind of coverage that the online media (including us) could offer, today they’re opening online shops to make it easier for the masses to get their hands on said products. The latest? Prada. “Starting July 1, the prada.com website is expanding its distribution network by launching the E-Store in Continental United States, one of the world’s most receptive markets for online purchasing, as well as Alaska and Puerto Rico. The region has long been strategic for the brand’s development and image.”

Farfetch, one of the premiere boutique shop commerce aggregators online in Europe, has now extended their reach to include a very strong set of US shops to their roster. The first wave of US menswear boutiques to join Farfetch include Opening Ceremony, Fred Segal, and denim shop American Rag. Farfetch will automatically direct USA users to the new US shops immediately. We’re hoping tha will not limit those browsing from seeing the European side of the business which is just as diverse.

GQ steps up their web game with the launch of their new GQ.com property today. Te standout feature at the moment would of course be the January Jones photoshoot by Terry Richardson for the latest cover of the print GQ. #woah. Congrats to GQ for a fine launch and site.

Well for the Euros at least! Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair has just opened their online shop. Shoppers in the EU now have the opportunity to pick from the full range of “Only at Shoerepair” – a line of limited articles only available for sale in our own stores. The first articles will be launched this fall online, containing small leather goods made of finest Italian calf skin and produced by a small family owned vendor in Portugal.”

Dreams do come true. Japan’s minimalist MUJI brand has launched their online store for the U.S. market. Now,  you do not have to head to SOHO or JFK Airport to visit the MUJI shop. Everything in store (and quite possibly more) is available online. Stock up on those card holders, people.

Though not exclusive to menswear, this charity auction from Prada is well worth the cause for mention.

Italy’s Prada house is selling off some prototypes from their Spring 2008 collection to benefit a good cause. “PRADA PROTOTYPES AUCTIONED ON LINE FOR CHARITY Exclusive pieces on prada.com from April 15 to May 6 Milan, April 10, 2008 – An auction of PRADA prototypes from the 2008 Spring/Summer collections gets underway on April 15 at 12.00 C.E.T. (Central European Time.)

The prototypes, ten unique pieces in total split between women’s clothes and

accessories, will be auctioned each Tuesday on a weekly basis. Those going on-line

will have seven days to get their favourite item: three trouser prototypes will be

available from April 15 at midday, one bag and two pairs of boots from April 22, the
