Our Legacy delivers looks for Autumn/Winter 2012. “Carmine Tonic” is the name give to said collection. Photographed by Takashi Homma, Our Legacy continues to express control in their designs never edging too far away from their Scandinavian roots. Garments express change in color material while the shapes and fits remain safe for most. Patterned prints on suits and PJ’s may work for some. Well worth browsing the gallery.

“A selection of our favorite comfortable and classic pieces for the season”, San Francisco’s Unionmade go full throttle indigo for this Spring/Summer 2012 lookbook. A screen full of blue, this laid-back collection is presented with a smile here and there, because lookbooks aren’t all serious business and deep stares. So, we have Levi’s Vintage, Haversack, Post Overalls, Saint James, Our Legacy, Tellason and Universal Works among others, all of which work perfectly with one another. Take a look through.

Our first close-up on some of the items from Our Legacy’s new capsule collection ‘Splash‘ for Spring/Summer 2012. This button down shirt has a touch of the Alohas to it but with it’s long sleeves, smart collar and linen fabric, it’s a whole lot easier to wear. The pattern is described as ’90’s abstract’, loud but with that brick background it veers away from garish. A regular fit shirt with Mother of Pearl buttons and that sweet textured linen, this limited edition is definitely worth a second look. Find it at End Clothing.

Our Legacy launch a mid-season capsule collection entitled ‘Splash’, with the help of art director Tony Cederteg, formally of free zine, Harold which featured the likes of Bernhard Willhelm and Ann-Sofie Back. As well as his contribution to the line itself, Tony also put together the water themed lookbook you’ll find below. Central to this project are the print shirts, one of which features tigers and some palm trees, yep,  alongside some more toned down basics in the form of sweats, polo shirts and plain slim fit trousers. When we look at this shirt, we hear that intense little bongo riff that hits every time one of the commandos in Predator gazes off into the rain forest looking for the titular camouflaged hunter. That is a pretty strong recommendation for this piece from Our Legacy. “Featuring a multicolored leaf print on a blue background cotton fabric, narrow sleeves, chest pocket and rounded hems [this is] perfect for wearing untucked,” we are told. “Not for the faint of heart.” Not sure about that last assertion, though if it were to get splattered with blood during hand-to-hand combat with a nine-foot alien, the look might only intensify. Our Legacy has completed construction on their new Stockholm shop, “created an environment of opposites.” The inspiration for the space  mixed the high-end of grand “financial” style offices with the office environment of the working class Swede. Marble floors are mixed with raw concrete walls in a rough “mottled” finish. Clearly keeping the space raw has an appeal but as you can see from the photography, elements like industrial rails and mirrors alongside common office chairs, give the space some unique characteristics. Architect duo Arrhov Frick designed the new Our Legacy space at Jacobsbergsgatan 11, Stockholm.

Red melange, grey melange. Take your pick from Our Legacy’s Spring Summer 2012 collection. Raglan sleeves, a slightly more relaxed collar and elasticated wider cuffs and hem, all part of OL’s 50’s America inspired line. Soft, lightweight cotton, as with anything in the ’sweats’ family, this couldn’t be easier to wear. You’ll be so comfortable you may have trouble leaving the house. Enjoy this sweatshirt, but please, don’t let it ruin your life. Relax via Oki ni.

We take a look at Our Legacy’s “a constellation within” Spring Summer 2012 collection. Always ones to create something a little interesting with their lookbooks, this man about town can be seen hanging out next to a variety of cars in double-breasted jackets, loose print trousers and simple shirting.

Casual suiting seems to be the order of the day with this one with a few offbeat touches thrown in here and there. Our Legacy explain, ”all together it ranges from a casual selected list of our favorite clothes, to a conceptual mix of unique pieces. Everything is linked by a theme, color and feeling into a highly personal vision – tailored and intended as the whole collection’s carrier.”

Some well put together Spring Summer 2012 looks from Our Legacy courtesy of end clothing. The Swedish label has always floated from trend to trend, never really committing to any one in particular – a good thing considering how quickly these things come and go. As a result each collection feels fresh rather than samey, pulling in a mix of references and keeping the line simple and solid. End has them.
