If, like us, you have a growing addiction to shoes, then you’ll need certain pairs for certain occasions. If you’ve got your dancing shoes and your work boots, these Paul Smith shoes are perfect for everyday use. The colour means they’ll go with anything from beige chinos to dark denim to grey trousers. The worn-in suede means you won’t be too worried about being caught in a random downpour – something all of us in England live in constant fear of. And most of all, they’re just great shoes. This season has definitely seen a comeback for the plan oxford shoe and while that’s great and all, that does leave very little space for those for want to be just a little bit more original with their smart footwear. This YMC Canvas and Leather shoe give a little quirk as they keep the original leather upper whilst changing the rest to canvas. The rule number one has always been, that one has a good pair of black leather shoes with leather sole in the closet. So far our choice this season falls onto this new Common Projects Officers Slip-On Oxford. 

Dressed up in the classic Oxford outfit, the shoe features a Italian waxed nappa leather upper and a leather sole. Just like all Common Project shoes, this one also features as the only branding the golden serial number on the back heel. Especially in the case of this Oxford, a nice touch, much more than on their sneakers. The fact that it is a slip-on, thus coming without laces, is also pretty interesting.
