selectism - Palladium Presents: London Pirate Radio

Palladium re-enters the UK market with an inventive “expedition” celebrating the traditions of pirate radio. Beginning in the 1960s, decaying anti-aircraft became the hubs of original pirate radio scene. The structures remain on the River Thames, provide a locale for Palladium’s investigation of the scene – which remains vibrant atop inner city tower blocks all around the UK.

Palladium’s London Pirate Radio is playing now.

Selectism - Palladium Pampa Boots for Winter 2009

We first took notice of the Palladium line during the January Las Vegas tradeshows. Since then, they have come alive of sorts with a great marketing campaign that does its best to educate you on the boots but also on some unknown spots around the United States. For Winter, Palladium gets premium on the market with their Pampa Hi and Baggy models. They come shearling lined for the winter and are available in a few choice leathers including our choice: suede camel.

palladium footwear 04 Vegas Shows | Palladium Footwear Autumn 2009 Preview

Here is a quick preview of the Palladium Autumn 2009 collection. For those not familiar with the legendary French footwear line, Palladium was once the boot of choice for the French Foreign Legion and was worn by by the fashion savvy or Europe and beyond. Palladium saw their quiet period begin towards the beginning of the 90’s, but now, under the K-Swiss umbrella, looks to regain fans (both old and new) of the slouchy boot look. We’re told new manufacturing processes has helped not only increase production of their three main silhouettes - a low, hi-top, and fold-over hi – but has drastically reduced the entry price for these shoes. Expect them to be priced competitively next to Converse and the like. More to come from Palladium. (photos: Michael Savant)
