Do you remember when we interviewed the guys behind brand new tradeshow MAN? If the answer’s no then head back in time to here. Well, its first outings in NYC and Paris were a resounding success so we thought we’d share a few images from the floor to give you an idea of what went down on Rue Froissart in the Marais district. The MAN team offer us an exclusive look at their images from the show. Well-dressed peeps and some top notch goods from the likes of Kitsuné Tee, Bleu de Chauffe, Jojo Messenger, Steve Mono, and Fred Perry Laurel Wreath.

Culling inspiration from Kubrick’s Paths of Glory, Le Bazar Des Poilus—a pop-up store at Hotel Jules & Jim in Paris—escaped the grim realities of WWI trench warfare with a few finer style points still strapped to the back. Vintage shoes, boots and sneakers, workwear and army issue fatigues, coats and woolens all held court at this collaboration between French online lifestyle mag Hell’s Kitchen and Leonard Vintage Shop in Lyons. Read all about it here … if you can read French.
We’d like to get our hands on the “Belt On” Levis Casuals pictured after the jump, but something tells us that the $4.98 price tag is as old as the pants. -jt

Alpha Sidibe is the studio manager at Christian Louboutin, hence the wide selection of spiked shoes. He’s also managed to accrue a lot of cool stuff which you can have a look at in this tour from Freunde Von Freunden. His Paris apartment, tucked away in Le Marais, is a bit of a change from some of the more stark living spaces we’ve previously featured. This isn’t one of those sprawling loft spaces filled with light, they’re great and all but it’s nice to see some proper apartment living. Head to FvF for an interview and more images.

Bernard Arnault of LVMH recently purchased traditional trunkmakers Moynat, adding it to the list of old school brands ready for a revamp. Taking on the considerable talent of Ramesh Nair, formerly of Hermès, Christian Lacroix, and Yohji Yamamoto, this 1849 brand has got itself a Parisian flagship store and unsurprisingly some rather challenging price tags.
A sizeable wedge of cash will get you some incredible accessories; these guys know their way around hardwearing travel trunks so expect everything to last as well as look good. Hit the website for more.

Freunde von Freunden talk to Akroe, the French Graffiti artist turned graphic designer, at his Paris studio. “Etienne Bardelli, the man also known as Akroe, first became famous for his graffiti and later earned esteemed success in the 2000s following his work with album covers.” Born in the small town of in France, “Akroe” moved to the Strasbourg Saint Denis area of Paris, where he still lives today. This one has hit the inbox hard today. Even friends with no association to the industry have reminded me of the new Aesop shop in Paris’ Marais area. The new shop, with it’s minimal finishing and decor is a sight to be seen. More than 400 dishes adorn the walls of the shop; each is used to “stand” bottles and jars of Aesop’s collection of skin, hair and body products. Find them at 64 rue Vieille du Temple.
