We know, we know, you’re tired of New York Fashion Week already. But bear with us while we showcase one last collection for the day. The big news in this collection is that he’s expanded womenswear after showing off a few looks last season. We have to say something. We actually like the elbow patches on this jumper. We know, we know, we’ve ranted about our dislike of erroneous elbow patches before but, like most people in fashun, we’re fickle. And like most fickle people we’re simply going to pretend we never actually said we disliked elbow patches in the first place. We’re all for the subtle patterns this autumn. Yeah, bright shocking patterns have their place but a calmer pattern is great for those days when you don’t want to attract too much attention to yourself. Ideally your outfit should say ’stylish man who’s not scared of taking risks’ not ‘Bryan Boy is my idol’. (Tres Bien)

Sale pick time! This time it’s a short sleeved shirt from Mr. Ervell, we’re recommending. Short sleeves are still a marmite piece but, like most things, it ain’t what you do it’s the way that you do it. And, most importantly, this shirt doesn’t give that photocopier salesman look that most short sleeve shirts give off. (Patrik Ervell)

The Spring/Summer 2011 collection from Patrik Ervell brings his views of the ideal pair of cotton twill pants. The jeans come in a slim cut with a lightweight twill in a light blue fabric. Silk is used along the waistband  which is interested. The race is on to create the best pair of twill pants for summer. Ervell comes really close. Made in the U.S.A. (m&s)

We feel like we post this sweater up every season, but if it ain’t broke, etc etc. In our defense, it’s been a while since we posted anything Ervell up which – seeing as he’s one of our favourite designers – is quite a feat. There’s very little new we can see about this sweater that we haven’t said before, it was a popular sweater last season and it still is. Just like lemonade. (Opening Ceremony)

New York based designer,Patrik Ervell, a started his line in 2005 and has received lots of attention in the last few seasons. Trained at Parsons School of Design, Ervell has brought modernism with a classic sense to his collection. The “Shortened Mao Coat” is made of 100% wax canvas cotton. The pocket lining is made of 100% silk and the fabrics are imported from Italy. The jacket offers four exterior pockets, off-center front button closure, a roomier fit with slimmer  sleeves for an ideal silhouette, and horn buttons.

We’re sure you’ve heard by now but Mr. Ervell has just dropped a new range of clothes and accessories for the Spring season. Our pick? This leather backpack. We especially like the straps which, in true Ervell Batemanesque nature, are made from horse hair. It’s almost like your bag has a weave, if you think about it. (Patrik Ervell)

We know the blogosphere’s canonised Michael Bastian as their New York fashion week favourite, but we’ve always been bigger fans of Patrik Ervell. It has the wearability of other American designers, but mixes in some new ideas that take it a few steps above the constant nostalgia. It’s the kind of clothing that Tomorrows World would’ve predicted we’d be wearing in 2011. And we mean that in the best possible way. (Style.com)
