The stalwart and stylish weavers over at Pendleton offer up their Fall 2012 Portland Collection, designed by Nathaniel Crissman, Rachel Turk and John Blasioli and made here in the U.S.A. Lots of crisp, textured and patterned looks for lads, with some pillows and blankets for good measure. A good deal of this stuff has those sweet Native American overtones we have come to look forward to from the brand. There’s also an A+ jumpsuit. (f)

After running two stories on the expansive Dr. Martens collection for Autumn/Winter 2012, I did not think we would be revisiting the line so soon but after seeing the new “black/grey” version of the Pendleton boot vs. bag combo, we had no choice. As mentioned before, Pendleton fabrics are used against the boots as well as special bags developed to compliment the set. Choose your favorite. Shown at PROJECT, Las Vegas.

Selectism - pendleton-cassidy-coat-01

Like a lot of companies, Pendleton has milked their day in the sun for all it’s worth. And can you blame them? Make hay while the sun shines and all that. The upside of the Pendleton stuff is that it still looks good, even after they’ve collaborated with the world and its pet monkey. Take this varsity for instance – still handsome ain’t it? And it’ll still be handsome even after the world’s gone goth ninja. (C Store)

Cornell University Collaborates with Pendleton Woolen Mills

The 2011 collection from Cornell University’s Pendleton Scholarship Team has been revealed. You may recall our coverage of the 2010 iteration, the first collection born from a project developed by students Mac Bishop and Jeff Aziakou. The goal of the program, originally titled “FEEDBACK,” is to prepare and present a fashion-forward menswear line. This year the line is called “The Road” and draws from vintage Americana and the naivety of youth.

Pendleton "The Portland Collection" Autumn/Winter 2011 Looks

Pendleton previews looks from their “The Portland Collection” coming this Autumn/Winter 2011. It puts one step forward into taking the classic Pendleton textiles and forming them for a more modern man who is not looking to troll backwards.  The collection “delves deep into the native american-inspired textile and blanket design legacy that the brand has created over the years. Designer trio John Blasioli, Rachel Turk and Nathaniel Crissman have managed to retain the outdoor vibe yet mold the folkloric aesthetics into contemporary pieces you’d readily flaunt at your fav downtown bar.” (sn)
