We’re starting to feel like Perk’s and Mini’s parents these days – we’re the only ones who call them by their full name. Perks (or PAM for all you hip folk with your eight track tapes) have just dropped more of their collection down at Goodhood and, as expected of us, we’re fans of this shirt. (Goodhood)

The square insert on this mini-striped shirt from PAM may seen like an add-on to some, but it speaks volumes in terms of the form of the cut. Clearly not everyone will be able to wear this perfectly, but we bet that this little detail is a rare find in your collection. Goodhood has them.

Our main problem with paisley shirts is what we like to call the ‘Simon Doonan’ look. No offense to the man, but it’s not a look we’re going for. We’re not expecting many folks to be into this – it looks like the only patterns bloggers are comfy with are camo and checks – but we like it. Just layer it under a cardigan or a crewneck and you should be fine. (Someday)

We’ve been slowly falling out of love with the check shirt for a while now. We’re not even mourning anymore – we just want some alternatives. Perks And Mini have understood our plight, making this panelled striped shirt that avoids any banker (or any other word that rhymes with it) connotations. Like we always say, a little crazy goes a long way. (Someday)

You know what we’re into? Pieces like this. It’s a little nuts, a little all over the place and therefore blog worthy. And in the age of people wishing they dressed like 1930’s factory workers, it’s also a rare joy. What raises this above the flood of other check shirts at the moment is the panel detailing, which make two gameboy-esque ‘+’ signs on the front. There’s even invisible zip pockets for the folks who like carrying something in their shirts – although we wouldn’t carry anything heavy in them. And, more importantly, it’ll bring some life to a chambray’ed out wardrobe. (Goodhood)
