Nowness shares this little video short with French pop outfit, Phoenix, on the writing and recording of their breakthrough hit in the U.S.A., “Lisztomania” (though the band has been recording since end of the 90’s). Possibly one of the most highly underrated pop bands in the United States, Phoenix for the better part of the last decade have been the musical darlings of Europe and Japan – especially after tracks from United featured on the Lost In Translation soundtrack. Now, a few months before the release of their next full length, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix (coming in May), the French group has joined with Kitsune on the release of Kitsune Tabloid by Phoenix - a collection of tracks going back as far as the late 50’s that cover their musical inspirations of the moment. 

Look for it March 3rd at better record shops worldwide.
