Hulger PAPPA*PHONE

The writers and editors here at TITEL, like most international companies, rely heavily on Skype. We’ve gone through our share of headsets but this gorgeous offering from Hulger in the UK is clearly looking for a fighting chance against my IPEVO handset. Handcrafted by Furni in  Montreal, the PAPPA*PHONE Skype handset is set in a woodgrain finish.

But seeing as Skype is here to save us all on long distance charges, you’ll probably make up the difference with the price tag on the PAPPA*PHONE. It will set you back a handy 313$US.

Subtle design carries this new HTC Max 4G Phone as much as it’s use of progressive wireless technology. The HTC Max 4G is the first mobile phone in the world to integrate GSM/Wimax, a long range wireless technology that can transmit data at 70Mb/sec symmetrically (that means you can surf the web, talk over VOIP, and text all at the same time!) Design, the phone is flat and smooth, much like the iPhone, and includes a whopping 350hours of standby. Some downsides: it runs Windows Mobile and is only available over the Russian Yota Network, one of the few Wimax nets currently operating. (images via gizmodo/engadget/momist)

LG Prada Silver Ediiton

14 January 2008, 12.27 | Posted in Gadgets | No comments »

LG Prada SilverLast year Prada started the designer phone movement with their LG touchscreen phone. In the mean time Armani has also come out with their own phone. Now Prada presents the next version, this time in sliver. 18 European countries including the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy will see the new version of LG’s touchscreen later this month. Besides the color change the phone now features a proper on-screen QWERTY, not just T9, which is quite the relief. As good as the phone looked from the start, in terms of user friendliness it was just not up there and considering the price it should be. Via Engadget.
