The Hill-side "Dia De Los Muertos" Papel Picado Print Pocket Squares

The Day of the Dead is celebrated through pocket squares coming from the Brooklyn outfit, The Hill-side. We’ll let them describe them: “The traditional folk art of papel picado (literally “perforated paper”) is a highly-detailed technique of hand-cutting thin paper to form elaborate designs. Papel picado is used mainly for celebrations surrounding the Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos (”Day of the Dead”).” Well done and available now.

Tantum Patchwork and African Tribe Pocket T-Shirts

The world is all about the pocket tee at the moment. Spice up that pocket with these patchwork takes from Los Angeles’  Tantum line. While not the first to market with the patchwork pocket, Tantum does a fine job of offering a cost-proper t-shirt that will fit into anyone’s wardrobe. Check the African tribe pocket patterns as well. END has them.

THE Soloist Three Quarters Tee with Pocket

The side cinch on these shirts from Takahiromiyashita’s THE Soloist line are the most interesting. We like the idea of being able to fit the shirt a bit depending on your wear style. Let us know what you think. (s2w8)

Looking for a late Valentine’s gift for your mate (it’s late now you know). This Wenger “walnut” utility pocket knife is a great gift. “This version utilizes sustainably harvested walnut from Switzerland that would otherwise be discarded. The carved out handle fits within the contours of the hand for ease of use.” (ofs)

Selectism - Angular Momentum Freehand Pocket Watch

Timezone treats us to some first looks at Angular Momentum’s Freehand Pocket Watch. It’s their first pocket watch offering that updates a classic item in ways which we love. “The uni-body case, in stainless steel, measures 46mm. It features a mirror polish rounded bezel, laser structured sides… sapphire crystal (front and back) and a polished stainless steel Louis XV crown.” Best of all it has a unique luminescence system that shines in a two tone manner.

Hermes Arceau Moonphase Retrograde Watch

hermes retrograde pocket watch 01 Hermes Arceau Moonphase Retrograde Watch

We need more pocket watches in our lives. Acquisition is necessary for formal wear and formal events. Nothing says luxury or timelessness like pulling out your pocket watch and reading off the moment. The Hermes Arceau Moonphase Retrograde covers the bases – a beautifully crafted timepiece made from 18kt gold and set in a 43.5mm casing. The leather strapping is less subtle than a chain and we personally believe, styles more effectively. The moonphase is a bonus. Limited to 24 pieces. We love it. (via tz)

Field Notes The Kit

field notes brand the kit Field Notes The Kit

The Field Note pocket ledgers have been found in the back trouser pockets of boys and girls from Oregon to Maine. And why not? The size of the ledger competes well against the moleskin market but with a more classic look (we love the Futura typeface used throughout!). With the holidays around the corner, it may be time to consider stocking up your friends with this great gift pack from Field Notes. “The Kit” comes with enough goods to keep receiver content for some time – 6 Field Note ledges, 6 Field Note ball points pens, 6 Field Note pencils, and one hang on the wall Field Note 18 Month Calendar.

Not a bad deal for 26.95$US. If you have no one to buy “The Kit” for, you can happily donate one to the Selectism offices. We’ll work them.
