An interesting collaboration between brit desinger Christopher Shannon, King of the ‘X’ , and Pointer shoes. Shannon is a big sportwears fan so this one was a bit of a no brainer. White Laurel Print over black canvas hi-tops. Find them at Oki-ni.

Pointer delivers a look at their forthcoming collaboration with Bleu de Paname. Showcased at their recently opened new flagship in Berlin, the Pointer brand continues to bring footwear that relaxes. Featured in white and indigo blue, the shoe is lightweight and breathable for the hot days of summer. They’re now available at the first ever Pointer Store, which officially opened today in Berlin.

Continuing our Second Look series is this Q&A with Pointer. Pointer have been making moves lately, collaboration with Comme Des Garcons, Head Porter and Anderson’s to name a few. So we decided to catch up with Gareth Skewis to find out more about the move of production, collaborations and the company’s design ethos.

Hand stitched with a crepe sole, the Pointer Conor looks excellent in green. The mid-top is finished in suede leather. They look to work as  premium seasonal beaters – wear them well. Glass Boutique has them.

Our friends at Pointer Footwear step up with a couple of shoes worked over for the Comme Des Garçons SHIRT collection. The Brajas II is a standout. “The Barajas II has all the components of a classic deck shoe featuring a soft leather upper, suede toe cap and heel, 2 eye lace system and rubber outsole.” End has them.

High Snob turns us onto news of Pointer’s collaboration with Anderson’s. Pointer are a brand both the HS and SL man can embrace and these belts, made by those Italian belt specialists, are a great example of why. The multicoloured elastic version is great for a super subdued outfit, whilst the canvas version is better for those (slightly) smarter days. (Fuss)

Another day, another couple of sale picks. We can’t resist, we’re like, ermmm, people who can’t resist posting sale picks (there’s no point of comparison for that). These Pointer Tanju loafers are just classic enough to please the summer suit wearing folk whilst being down to earth enough for the rest of us to get into. The £69 price tag isn’t bad either. (End)

Still wearing boat shoes? really? It’s cold outside now. Covering up with socks won’t do it. Deck shoes are as summery as shorts and you wouldn’t wear those in winter would you?

Pointer are another of those brands who are bridging the gap between streetwear and fashion orientated clothing (the latter needs a snappy nickname). These aren’t new by any sense of the word, but they’re perfect for those days when you’re in some chinos or cords and don’t want to look like you copied an outfit from Free & Easy.
