Permanent pouter Michael Pitt once again dons the robes he was seemingly made for, a Prada editorial for Italian magazine Panorama Icon draping him in the seriously smart Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Once again a moody, brooding, troubled lost boy set of images from the Boardwalk Empire star. While we hope to see the guy smile on a front cover just once, nobody does Serious-Face like Pitt. It’s Sunday. I’m on my way home for a long overdue roast dinner. I can’t decide what to wear. My folks haven’t seen me since I moved to the city. In the time I’ve been away I’ve become fancy, elegant, a real snappy dresser. I own a Hermes belt. It’s my favourite. I hope it’s lamb, mum always overcooks pork and with lamb you get the option of mint jelly or mint sauce. Hope dad doesn’t ask too many questions about what I’ve been up. Hopefully my outfits will reassure him that I’m moving up in the world. Look at my belt. I’m going places.

That Mad Men guy gets about a bit.  Seems people really love that show. Fair enough, it’s pretty next level. Seeing him in modern day attire is usually a bit off putting though, he’s either Don or he’s gone (yeah, I did that). However this editorial from C for Men, a California based magazine, has managed to create a kind of era neutral editorial that doesn’t tie itself down to any particular place in time. Hamm is just doing a Cool Guy lounging thing and doing it in Bruno Cucinelli, Prada, Burberry, Bass and Persol. So all’s good in the world. (SM)

Actor, Michael Pitt is set in the 1950’s golden age of cinema and Hollywood for PRADA’s Spring/Summer 2012 campaign film. Shot by portrait photographer, David Sim, Pitt shows various moods in this performance. We are sure this is not the last time we’ll see him in this role.

As a follow-up to Prada’s “Walking in Milano” hand-sewn shoe collection, they bring us their Eastern counterpart in the form of the Shibuya sneaker from the forthcoming “Walking in Tokyo” set. The Prada Shibuya sneaker is the “alter-ego” of Milano’s Bastioni shoe. Set in an all-white upper on a duo-color sole, the Shibuya uses a velcro monk-style strap across the upper to stay locked down.

Prada shares a full look at the forthcoming “Walking in Milano” collection of handmade men’s shoes. This is a capsule collection of men’s shoes “with classic character with a modern twist.” Interestingly, they are available exclusively now at the Prada store on Broadway in New York City. Looking to blow up Milan runway shows in one fell swoop? Bring in some top tier actors to assist. That is exactly what Prada has done with their menswear runway show today for Autumn Winter 2012. Aside from the great fashion, Prada brought into town actors Garrett Hedlund, Alex Carril, Victor Carril, Jamie Bell, Emile Hirsch, Timothy Roth, William Dafoe, Adrien Brody, and finally, Gary Oldman. It is a mega list from a mega brand.

Now as for the looks Mr. Oldman and Brody brought the house down with two of the best overcoats of the show. We would love to know your thoughts…
