“First Spring” is Prada’s latest collaboration with pioneering Chinese artist Yang Fudong. The film showcases young men dressed in Prada menswear in Shanghai. A beautiful production, that you should definitely check out!

It is not the first time we see this happening – Prada will be streaming live their Fall/Winter 2010 fashion show from Milan on their website. Most of you (including us) will not attend the show in Milan, so make sure to tune in tonight at 6:00pm GMT+1 on prada.com.

Fresh looks have arrived of the Prada for Autumn 2009 Campaign as shot by Hedi Slimane. We’re fond of the eyewear presented in the campaign – from sunglasses to frames (I happen to be in the market for a new frame at the moment). High contrast photography accentuate the looks well. (fashonisto)

A beautiful nylon tote bag is coming this season from Prada. The mix of nylon, suede bottom and brown leather details works really well, keeping the bag classic, yet not boring. Branding is kept to a minimum on the bag, with the Prada logo only appearing embossed on the suede parts of the bag. It is now available from Barneys.

The time has arrived. Prada previewed their Autumn/Winter 2009 collection recently, and we highlighted some some of the more traditional footwear looks. But we missed the stud arrays that Men.style is showing us. Check the studded details on shoes, boots, and shirts in these looks. Be careful when you hug your gentleman in this shirt.

A few images of the new Prada Travel Accessories Collection are beginning to make their way online. Love brings a stack up of the travel luggage in its color array. The color options are wide and we’re sure you’ll find one that matches your look.

New Dandyism have these great close up shots of Prada’s AW09 footwear, which unveil some interesting detailing. The first thing that stands out is the trainer tongue used on all of the shoes, which adds a new feel to it and will make the shoe more comfortable to wear. There’s also a pair of laceless oxfords, which are pretty similar to the Patrick Ervell/Common Projects shoe that was shown at New York Fashion Week. WWD reports in on Hedi Slimane’s latest shoot for Prada’s spring looks. “This is the first time Slimane has worked with Prada on such a project. Slimane, who resumed his photography career following his exit from Dior last year, took black and white portraits of Louis and Claude Simonon, sons of Paul and Tricia Simonon, the bass player and manager of Punk band The Clash. In a statement, Prada said the brothers were photographed ‘in moments of reflection and introspection.’”

Though not exclusive to menswear, this charity auction from Prada is well worth the cause for mention.

Italy’s Prada house is selling off some prototypes from their Spring 2008 collection to benefit a good cause. “PRADA PROTOTYPES AUCTIONED ON LINE FOR CHARITY Exclusive pieces on prada.com from April 15 to May 6 Milan, April 10, 2008 – An auction of PRADA prototypes from the 2008 Spring/Summer collections gets underway on April 15 at 12.00 C.E.T. (Central European Time.)

The prototypes, ten unique pieces in total split between women’s clothes and

accessories, will be auctioned each Tuesday on a weekly basis. Those going on-line

will have seven days to get their favourite item: three trouser prototypes will be

available from April 15 at midday, one bag and two pairs of boots from April 22, the

Last year Prada started the designer phone movement with their LG touchscreen phone. In the mean time Armani has also come out with their own phone. Now Prada presents the next version, this time in sliver. 18 European countries including the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy will see the new version of LG’s touchscreen later this month. Besides the color change the phone now features a proper on-screen QWERTY, not just T9, which is quite the relief. As good as the phone looked from the start, in terms of user friendliness it was just not up there and considering the price it should be. Via Engadget.
