It is late and we need to run to one more show, but before we do, let’s take a look at the rag & bone collection for Autumn Winter 2012 which WWD describes as: “an authoritative men’s collection heavy on military themes — sweeping tweed officer’s coats with shearling collars and herringbone cavalry pants tucked into leather boots.” Looks are good but I would love to know more about their team-up with AT&T and Samsung for the Galaxy Note launch. Not much on the Facebook page at the moment.

Two of the tracks composed by Radiohead frontman, Thom Yorke have appeared online. “Twist” and “Stuck Together,” both composed for fashion label Rag & Bone’s Spring/Summer 2012  runways shows last September, are the latest of a growing round of solo and collaborative work by Yorke, who in the last year has worked with Burial and Four Tet.

Fellow band member, Johnny Greenwood, is also credited on “Stuck Together.”

Rag & Bone drops this overnight canvas duffle bag. Made in the USA, it carries double leather handle straps, buckle up patch pockets with leather flaps. The usual for an overnighter. Tone stitching as well keeps it clean. ssense has them.

A strong denim and waxed canvas mix from the Rag & Bone family of goods. The pull an outdoor military influence into a bag finished with thick woven hands and a compartment big enough for about a weekend’s worth of goods. Oki-ni has it.

Rag & Bone kindly sent over looks from their forthcoming Spring/Summer 2012 collection. We’re looking at their view of “modern California” living. “Hints of yellow evoke bright beach life as seen in waxed hooded toggle coats and cargo surf shorts. Clean “Mac” coats, navy jacquard suiting and linen creased-front pants add a classic appeal. Accessories include simple white and black perforated leather and navy and brown corduroy slip-on moccasins.”

These hi-tops from the Rag & Bone collection work. While we may not call them true boat shoes, you get the idea. “Textured leather boat shoe boots in black. Raised whipstitched seam at round tapered toe. Contrast stitching in beige. Brown leather lace-up closure and side detail. Silver tone eyelets” Ssense has them.

With the recent release of their summer collection rag & bone is ready for the season. Their interpretation of their “Beach Shirt” is a favorite. The lightweight fabric and sensible pattern design allows for an amazing garment. The shirt details consist of a “single patch pocket at the chest, shirtail hem and a seven button front closure.” A true button down for Yacht parties across the world.

Grenson worked with Rag & Bone on these boots. Apart from a handsome shape, the thing that stands out about these are the hob nails. Seeing as hob nails aren’t a regular request at Grenson’s Northampton factory they had to source them themselves, putting them on by hand.

The team over at Rag and Bone bring us one of their newest bags for the season. The “Day Pack” is a 100% cotton fabric bag with 100% leather accents for added comfort and security. The pack has a zipper closure and adjustable leather straps. The backpack is the new tote bag for this season and it holds more “things.”

A ton of bowler hats and some Scottish inspiration are found in the rag & bone Autumn 2011 runway show. Looks as though the brand is harnessing some power from the classic tailoring of the Old Kingdom while mixing it with a touch of the new. We very much appreciate the roomy trousers and the great use of blues throughout. The women’s AW2011 is right in line with this as well.
