Some new interchangeable love from the Ray-ban family of eyewear. Their new Flip Outs make it easy to customize a lens color to your liking. “Adding to the legendary Caravan and Aviator shapes, both come complete with a kit of three easily interchangeable lenses. And not only do these classic frames now boast three great looks, but we’ve made them stronger, lighter and more durable using our Light Ray technology.” Beautifully packaged of course. Question is will you keep the packaging?

Back to back shade posts but the day calls for it. Ray-Ban is working 100 pairs of these Wayfarers with a subtle silver hit on the temple arms. Again, nothing too new but the accents may excite some. My brothers a CNCPT have them.

Nothing much to say about these classic aviators from Ray-Ban that you don’t already know. When it comes to sunglasses, I prefer the metal frames to the plastic (which I reserve for eyeglasses). “Ray-Ban RB 3136 Caravan, with gold metal frame and G15-XLT lens. This is an all-time American classic, less common than the wayfarer, every bit as good.” (oi)

Openers reports in on Ray Ban’s collaboration with Japan’s Paris Miki AU line. Paris Miki grew out of Himeji, Japan in the 30’s to become of the the largest eyewear retailers globally. Paris Miki’s computerized system perfects each eyeglass for the individual user. Their Ray-Ban collaboration is really an extension of their technology to the renowned  sunglass maker. The sunglasses are available in the “Aviator” and “Caravan.”
