An interesting collaboration is coming from Redwing and New York brand Nom de Guerre. The mens fashion brand worked on the classic 875 boots, gave it a light grey upper and white sole. The Nom de Guerre logo is embossed on the side, overall very subtle. The black leather trimming and white contrast stitching set some nice accents. Via H(Y)R Collective.

The Redwing 875 for Nom de Guerre boots will be released at the Nom de Guerre NYC flagship store on December 26th and will go for 285 USD.

While other brands seek to collaborate for gains, Edifice collaborate out of love for a brand. Take their collaboration with Trickers, the classic English shoemakers who are famed for their hand made shoes. Not many companies would think of collaborating with such a company, but Edifice did and the outcome is the perfect mix of the new and the old. Like most Edifice clothing, stockists on the Western side of the world will be hard to come by.

We present you the Red Wing 6" Classic Work Boot. It comes in copper rough and tough leather, the highest quality distressed finish that Red Wing offers. We love the white sole on the boots, giving it a bit more of a casual and less of a work boot look.

The boots are exclusive to David Z. and only 48 pairs are available online and 48 pairs at their Soho flagship store.

A couple of years ago we walked for the first time into the Woolrich flagship store in Milan. Just in case you did not know, an Italian company took the license about 10 years ago and the hype around the brand in Italy started around 2000. By 2002 you would not see a single Italian person on the street in Milan in winter time without the Woolrich Arctic Parka, a down jacket with fur collar.

Still today the Italian collection impresses. Whereas the European line is made in the US, the US line is made in Asia at far lower quality and is also much cheaper. Two completely different things.

Let’s get back to what we actually wanted to say. A couple of years ago we saw for the first time the Redwing boots made for Woolrich. At the time they even had matching New Balance sneakers. Both featuring vintage Woolrich fabric, made on the original mills in the US. Since we are getting closer to the colder time of the year again, we wanted to show you this years line-up. Now there are overall 4 boots, all featuring vintage Woolrich wool on the upper.

Definitely something worth considering!

I can remember one awful winter my roomate at university asked me to help him and his day plow 40 miles of road in Massachusetts. His father, incredibly upset with my lack of proper Red Wing boots, immediately brought me to the local boot shop and laced me up in my first pair of Red Wings, which I still use to this day.

The Red Wing’s legacy is a grand one when it comes to top teir performance and build of work boots. Now, DNR is reporting that the Canadian Company is expanding into outerwear as it’s first push into the expanding lifestyle market, which is booming for North American heritage companies.

One of the most interesting new releases as part of the new Neighborhood Spring/Summer 2008 collection is the Redwing boot collaboration. We could not imagine a better brand for Neighborhood to collaborate with.

American made boot company Red Wing teams up with Ronnie Fieg for David Z’s 25th year anniversary. Red Wing makes the highest quality hand crafted boots in the world and they have been doing it since 1905. David Z. has been selling Red Wings for over 20 years and have sold thousands of pairs to customers from all over the world including Japan for the big Red Wing boom back in the early 90’s. Since then, Japan has made it a staple and the rest of the world is taking a closer look at what Ronnie thinks is the best boot making company ever.

On this boot they used a very rich oilly brown leather along with a black welt and the classic white outsole. “25th year” is embossed on the outside of the boot. The price is set at $250.
