A rare double dose of H&M today with the delivery of imagery form the Versace Cruise (or resort) collection for H&M. A highly toned down collection compared to the launch looks. We’re also throwing in the women’s looks from the cruise collection as they complement the men’s well. Unlike most, the Versace for H&M collection will be an online exclusive affair beginning January 19, 2012.

Monitaly delivers a small “resort” collection for Spring 2012. It is unlike their usual tailored looks with a focus on a more relaxed approach to leisure. The “ikat” look is brought to life on shorts, trouers, and pull-overs. Both yarn dyed and printed techniques are used to bring out the “ikat” flavor.

A.P.C. drops looks from their forthcoming Spring 2011 “Resort” collection. This sailor sweatshirt with its wide collar and fit is a strong pick. ”Soft, rather heavyweight material. Straight cut. Sailor collar with white piping. Ribbed hem and cuffs.” Wear it casually, of course.

New Standard Denim in blues, and mustard, are worked against tennis sneakers, and more. Worth a look for those who are fond of the A.P.C. line.

Openers Japan take a look at the Etro Summer Resort Collection for 2009. The Italian line uses the “T-Shirt” as their palette of choice when messaging this collection. A variety of t-shirts work the Etro look in a very casual and almost understated manner.It’s clearly about the casual look here. Nothing like saying, “I’m Made in Italy” than with an Etro tee.

OPENERS gives a nice preview of the ETRO Summer 2009 Resort Collection. ETRO takes aim for the “casual” market with their Italian made goods. Sandals, sneakers, and bags round up the collection. Sneaker styles follow the traditional Euro slip stream shapes which are favored by many and are often seen are simply staying on point with the consumer not looking to experiment. We happen to love the messenger bag, with its orange leather finish.
