Known for denim, LA’s Rogue Territory recognizes Summer heat with a set of new Safari shorts. Available in rain drop camo and brown, the shorts are produced with American made 9oz twill for the brown and a deadstock 1960s German Military camo for the raindrop. Both are unsanforized and cut slightly above the knee.

We hope this is a novelty item. Personally, I would avoid wiping my brow with a 8oz “selvedge” piece of denim handkerchief. With that said, it may work as an accent piece with your  jacket. Try it out and let us know.

More handmade accessories from Los Angeles’ Rogue Territory. Founder Karl Thoennessen cooked these hankerchiefs up just last week, using chambray from Kaihara Mills, denim from Nihon Menpu Mills, and hickory denim from Kaihara Mills respectively. Each has a woven Rogue Territory Loop label. Whip your sweat away in style.

It’s the season for tote bags. Beach, farmers market, flea market… these are require a handy tote. Rogue Territory’s offering is hand cut and sewn, and made with the same 12oz Double Indigo Japanese denim from Kurabo Mills as their denim. Duck canvas handles and interior pockets give the bag a little further individuality.

Karl Thoennessen’s Rogue Territory is pretty easy to love. His work trousers, made of ring-spun indigo dyed 12oz denim from kurabo mills, are especially good. For 2011, RT will release a very limited run of 25 pairs of these terrific Double Indigo Trousers. The presale is on now, and runs through Sunday.

An extension of Rogue Territory, RGT  goes beyond denim offering a full collection of tops and bottoms, outerwear and accessories.  The line has modern fit and style, with the light touch of vintage Americana and military influence now expected from designer Karl Thoennessen.

The first fabric Thoennessn chose to work with for RGT is a deadstock 1950s German Paramilitary Raindrop Cammo. The fabric finds life throughout the line as pocket lining, shirts, pants, shorts and hidden patch pockets.

In all, the line includes three models of trouser (two also coming in short form); two jean fits (skinny and straight) coming in Dark Indigo selvage, Natural selvage, Grey  selvage; and a range of triple needle stitched tops made from canvas, chambray, gingham, and oxford cloth.

All rivets and buttons are custom. All set for release in Spring of 2011.
