RRL Online Shop

rrl cardigan 01 RRL Online Shop

Many will welcome the opening of London’s very own RRL store on Mount Street with feverish excitement. Fans of the brand have had it hard, getting hold of this much protected label hasn’t been easy but with the Liberty concession, a shiny new web showcase and now a denim and canvas clad temple to finally worship at, many an addiction will finally be fed. The expansion continues. As if to get consumers truly hooked, goods are now available to buy online. Shop from the comfort of your sofa, browse at 4am, purchase while eating chicken noodle soup. We’d like to recommend this heavyweight shawl cardigan, taking Fairisle to a new level. 100% lambswool, this is the star of the show. So, wearing 7 year old sweatpants and a t-shirt you got free from the gym? Go ahead and hit the website, Ralph can’t see you now.

RRL Autumn/Winter 2011 Lookbook

RRL Autumn/Winter 2011 Lookbook

Mister Crew alerts us to these RRL shots. At first sight it was hard to tell which century these hailed from, in terms of authenticity they are as close to the real deal as we’ve ever seen. Anyone with access to the internet and a tumblr account will be familiar with the look and feel of early twentieth century portraits and mugshots. The attention to detail, from the backdrops to the furniture, lighting to studio frames is incredible. The clothes aren’t half bad either.

RRL Patchwork Cardigan

Highsnob snaps a look at a serious patchwork cardigan from RRL. “Outside of RRL stores it is still rather hard to come by this special line of goods by Ralph Lauren. The search is worth it though, best seen again with the above patchwork cardigan that we checked out earlier this week. Made from different materials with different patterns, each is aged, enhanced and treated by itself to then be put together in the form of this cardigan. The outcome is very impressive – one really does have the impression the cardigan tells a story.”

Tokyo | RRL Japan Tie Dyed T-Shirt

Selectism - RRL Japan Tie Dyed T-Shirt

The stand alone Ralph Lauren building on Omotesendo is straight bonkers. The building actually reminds me of the Louis of Boston standalone with the addition of three front doorways, with security, and parking. Inside you’ll find about as complete a Ralph Lauren, RRL, Rugby selection as I have even seen in one spot.

We asked them to pull out some Japan exclusives to which they abided. This Japan only RRL numbered tie-dye was the only look they would allow me to shoot before putting up the big handed “X” which universally means “hell no” in Japanese. 102 pieces were dyed before they called it quits.

RRL Bowery Boot

ACL comes through with a exclusive look at the new RRL Bowery Boot. “Through my thorough detective work I got my hands on photos of a limited edition pair of bench-made leather boots. As one would expect from RRL, all of the bona fides are present and accounted for. Made in the USA from Horween leather with vintage deadstock Cat Paw heels. The super small quantity (multiple dozens) will be available mid to late August at RRL stores for $750. Rumor is each shop will get a few pairs and that is it..”

More views of the RRL Bowery Boot after the jump.
