We wonder if proxies work on bonus points, like a Sainsbury’s Nectar card? If they did this would be a great time to take advantage of all those nectar points by ordering a spring-ready blazer. We hate giving out obvious advice but use it as a layer in January and on its own come spring time. Any other usage will result in you spontaneously combusting. (Mindtrive)

The Nordic look in the Autumn/Winter 2011 collection from Sacai will be a popular one. I, for one, am not convinced on the short pants for the Autumn season but maybe my weather in New England is slightly different than the streets of Tokyo. OPENERS Japan (big Japan day eh?) brings us a look at the Sacai Autumn/Winter 2010 collection for men. We last spoke about the collection for Autumn 2009. Much of what we said then remains true today. The collection offers not only a fitted but visual look into modern Japan trends in menswear – without falling into the trend heavy side of  industry. A strong collection.

Openers presents us with looks from the Sacai Autumn/Winter 2009 collection. The collection clearly pulls from the trends being seen in Japan (especially in their print mags) and features layering on the legs as well as traditional knits tops. Not for everyone but a clear example of how our friends in the East are thinking.

Japanese clothier, Sacai bring this simple wool jacket to market for Spring/Summer 2009.
