selectism - ymc-engineers-shoe-01

If you’re like us, you’ve been waiting for the sales like a hawk circling its prey. One of our favourite prey, sorry, pieces has to be these YMC Engineers shoes. They’re handsome shoes – as all shoes should be – and the soles make them suitable for bad weather. The same can’t be said for our leather soled brogues. And, to top it all off, they on sale at the grand some of £87.75. (Daniel Jenkins)

Song remains the same, detailed images after the leap.

raf simons fred perry polo Raf Simons for Fred Perry Polo Shirt

We’ve featured this before but now it’s on sale we had to bring it to your attention again. We love it when the price comes down just enough on an item to render it affordable. That’s the case with this Raf Simons for Fred Perry polo shirt, reduced to £70. It’s not a huge saving from the original price of £110, but it brings it well under the £100 mark – a mental barrier for a lot of people. (Browns)

RCA Secret Sale 2008

rca london secret sale front RCA Secret Sale 2008

Forty quid for a masterpiece is, you might agree, quite a deal. And, it’s also the essential idea behind the RCA Secret sale, which will take place in London starting from today (and remains open one week). Prominent artists and designers, for instance Paul Smith and Yoko Ono, are invited along side art students to donate a post card size work of art (like those pictured above). These are then sold anonymously. Over 2,500 are available during the 2008 show. The idea is, presumably, try you’re luck you might end up with a Hirst. However, you might be more optimistic and go in thinking that whatever strikes your fancy might just turn to art gold.

The sale is housed at Royal College of Art, Kensington Gore, SW7.
