New from the Schott NYC lines comes this special make-up vintaged motorcycle jacket for Restoration Hardware. Coming in at $650, the cafe racer comes in black and brown and is produced at Schott’s factory in Elizabeth, NJ. Features the slim fit look and authentic talon zippers first found on the Schott jacket of the 1920’s. Nice box as well.

Through the trade show circuit, we’ve shown a few highlights of next Spring’s collection from Perfecto Brand by Schott. Included in that is the Billy Kirk collaborative bag and a few lovely jackets. Perfecto Brand has just released the full lookbook for Spring/Summer 2012, with Northeastern sporting clubs and railroads serving as the backdrop. The locales are fitting, as vintage Americana remains the root of the line – the Perfecto jacket coming in new fabric makeups alongside suede and waxed cotton pieces and a bit of shirting.

Not to be outdone by their Paris showing, Perfecto Brand by Schott introduced three new jackets during (capsule) NY. The highlight is the Twin Lakes poplin hooded mountian parka in orange, a 60% cotton 40% nylon shell piece with cotton plaid lining. Additionally, the brand unveiled the T-Bone Bedford Corduroy Asymmetrical Motorycle Jacket and the Woodloch Bedford Corduroy Duffle Coat. The T-Bone is a 100% cotton 9 ounce bedford corduroy in stone with chrome trim and cotton lining, cut with as a slim fitting of the classic Schott Perfecto silhouette. Made of 100% cotton bedford corduroy, the duffle comes in stone with hemp toggles, wood buttons and cowhide trim.

And finishing off our coverage for the day is Perfecto by Schott. Despite the fact that Perfecto’s relatively new, we all know what they stand for – coats so good you’ll do a jig for them. Yes, a jig. Amongst the goodness is a suede jacket that’s better suited for the winter months (perfect, because the start of spring in fashion is january). There’s also biker jackets, duffle coats and this orange parka (you know, the one above you).

Set for debut over the weekend at (capsule) Paris, this handsome bag combines two of the New York areas finest leather goods purveyors. Marrying elements of Schott’s iconic Perfecto jacket and the classic carryall from Billykirk, it is an object that celebrates domestic manufacture. Made from brown and black American cowhide, the tool bag features a quilted nylon lining, heavy chrome zipper, exterior coin pocket and Schott Perfecto hardware. The bag features double drop handles, signature Billykirk luggage tag, metal hinge frame, two interior pockets, and a detachable leather shoulder strap. Retail release set for Spring 2012.

We previewed Schott’s perfecto line way back when and now it’s dropped in stores. We’re so in love with this collection we could feature every piece from the line but, for space reasons, we’ll stick to this one. Made from deadstock cloth, it’s a fine piece of outerwear – we’re particularly enamoured with the shade of blue. (Superdenim)

Creative Director of Perfecto Brand by Schott, Greg Chapman, was in LA for a few days taking a break from the freezing New York weather and getting to the Vegas Shows. While there, he had lunch Little Doms and discussed the jacket he named after long-time friend, Creative Director of Generic Man/Generic Surplus, Kevin Carney, who also happens to have named the Generic Man staple Chapman after Greg. The duo were interviewed by Astri Barbala.

We have a long history with the first line of Perfecto Brand by Schott jackets designed under the creative direction of Greg Chapman. You might recall our preview from last July, literally a fresh off the assembly line look at the collection.

Well, Spring 2011 has finally hit, and final versions of Chapman’s babies have hit shop floors from NYC to SF (and some spots in Japan and the United Kingdom too). Key styles include a Cone Mills selvage denim pea coat, a dead stock canvas pea coat, and a two tone 20’s inspired horse hide jacket. Other styles include a tobacco cowhide suede club jacket , khaki cowhide suede Café Racer and Waxwear waxed canvas duffle coat and Perfecto.
