Lacoste works over their classics for Japan’s SHIPS shops. The Chantilly collection of polo shirts.  Some changes are in order on the polos: they’re a bit shorter than most polos (something necessary for the Japan market) as well as a thicker hem ribbed hem on the sleeves.

Well here’s a chance for those in the North to get their hands on a Japan exclusive brough local through a retailer. This duffle hoodie from Wings + Horns is a SHIPS Japan exclusive. How it arrived into North America is beyond me, but Roden Gray has them. Available in black or heather grey. Dig in.

SHIPS Japan as usual picks the proper partners for the co-brands. The horween leather boots above are worked with Hathorn Boots, which look to be part of the White’s family – a major favorite for our New England staff. The brown or black boots are built using leather from that famous Chicago tannery. The mid boot looks damn rugged when paired with the thick sole. (zozo)

A fine pair of suede loafers from Paraboot for Japan’s SHIP chain. The tassels are the distinct feature on these shoes which also include a white nonslip sole and white detailed stitching that finish these shoes off in a very classic sense. We haven’t teased you with any Japanese product for a while now (it must have been at least a week now) so we feel like redressing the balance today. First up is this Lee denim jacket, made in collaboration with Japanese retailer SHIPS. The white buttons and plaid cuffs make it unique enough to warrant a purchase – providing you can get hold of it in the first place. (Lumine)

These white leather heavy rubber soled shoes from Paraboot for SHIPS are simply on point. They’re slightly rugged profile makes them appropriate for casual wear. We of course recommend wearing them to the pub for some quick distress. You’ll find them through SHIPS Japan. We’re told they’re exclusive to the shop. SHIPS is still on the mind. We pull this one from their online store. It’s a well made peacoat with contrasting buttons in nay blue or grey. A very classic jacket which is cut shorter than normal for the Japan market and the under 5′9″s reading this here page. Well done. (ships)

SHIPS plays a bit with the naval jacket theme with this toggle zip-up sweater. The toggles, buttons, and color sure do make it look peacoat influenced but what it lacks is the weight. It’s a great fitting piece which again offers something unique to the wearer. Priced fairly well as well, as most things are at SHIPS Jet Blue.

Some proper interpretations of the safari jacket from the Ships group in Japan. Harris Tweed is the choice fabric and it does the look well by providing a colder weather jacket for a usually hot for the equator type of wares. Ships tends to do things right, so we’re sure these pieces will last you some time. Herringbone is king. (zozo)
