Polo Ralph Lauren "Grange Poplin" Tartan Shirt

The Polo Ralph Lauren resort collection brings light to the traditional yacht races of the past. Here’s the Grange Poplin Tartan Jacket. The lightweight garment has a “durable Teflon-coated poplin in an elegant tartan plaid pattern.” The jacket offers a front zipper closure, throat tab, a handful of angled pockets and ventilated underarm grommets. A great summer option.

PRPS Chambray Jacket

PRPS Chambray Jacket

The idea of pre-distressed jeans have become something of the past. But recently, there’s been a resurgence in this distressed styling. PRPS has been creating amazing washes on all their jeans and jackets since their inception and they’ve withstood the fad of “raw” DIY jeans. The “Chambray Denim Jacket” is one example of true PRPS styling. They offer a very dark wash with detailed washed accents throughout the piece. The jacket features “a folded collar, button down front and four front pockets.” The secret internal pocket is my favorite detail on the piece. Atrium has them.

Head Porter Plus Oxford Shirt

Selectism - head-porter-plus-oxford-shirt-01

Still like oxford shirts? Of course, it’s only been a short while since they ‘left’ the trendosphere. We put left in quotes because – like anything you bought a year or so ago – everyone’s still wearing them, it’s just become unpopular to talk about them as much. So, if you’re still on the lookout for a good oxford, put this Head Porter Plus version into consideration. (Firmanent)

Ralph Lauren Linen Shirt

Selectism - polo-ralph-lauren-linen-shirt-01

We’re gonna come right out and say it, we only kinda like this shirt. We like the tie dye effect and the fact it’s linen. If we were being picky, we’d say that we find the buttons a little jarring and the two chest pockets. That’s if we were being picky. (Liberty)

Cape Madras “Madras” Long Sleeve Shirts

capemadras shirts 1 Cape Madras Madras Long Sleeve Shirts

The designers at Cape Madras shows us their take on the “perfect summer attire” longsleeve shirt. The company believes that madras fabric is “the best warm weather fabric ever created.” The garment does have lots of history to it: the fabric gets its name from the “English name of the city of Chennai, India with their’Madrasi checks’.” Cape Madras’ shirt has a button-down collar and shirttail hem. It’s made of 100% cotton patch madras and is offered in two colors: Trundy and Richmond LS. All garments are made in India to pay respect to the origins of the fabric.

Comme Des Garcons Floral Skull Print Shirt

Like floral print? like skulls in your floral print? Well you’re in luck. This CDG shirt has all that and some 3/4 length sleeves to round off the trend ticking box. We’ve noticed that CDG has fallen behind Junya in the desirable designer stakes lately, but we’re still fans of both, especially when  they’re churning out bits like this. (Ssense)

Baron Wells Contrast Pocket Shirt

We’re accustomed to seeing the contrast pocket on t-shirts, less so on shirts. While it moves the shirt away from office suitability – we can’t imagine wearing this to a job without some joker making a comment about the pocket being ruined in the wash – it does make it nice and smashual. And there’s even a club collar, so you can double up on your trends in one piece. (Bows + Arrows)

French Trotters Seersucker Shirt

French Trotters continue their foray into making their own clothes with this seersucker shirt. As you can probably tell, we’ve fallen for seersucker this season. We don’t know when it happened, we don’t know how. But it has and now we’re going all seersucker everything for spring, looking like we’ve stepped out of the steeziest prison in the world. We’ve been posting a lot of 3/4 sleeve shirts lately, we’d like to offer up a deep reason but there isn’t one. We like them, so we post them. This Dana Lee one combines several things we like – 3/4 sleeves, chest pockets & contrast sleeves – and makes it into one great shirt. (Hunting & Collecting)
