I personally love this take on the blucher from Alexander McQueen. Sure, there will be the commenters who will discuss how this is simply a shoe with splattered paint on it, but for those who recognize that not all things are as simple as they seem, you’ll appreciate the forward destruction of the classic silhouette. February 3rd marked the launch of the T-Michael footwear collection for Spring 2010 in Oslo. From there we bring you some exclusive looks at the line which features fresh re-interpretations that mix black, brown and green leathers in very appropriate ways. The “TLACE” derby shoe is a standout.

How do you update the boat shoe? if you’re NDC, you take it higher. High top boat shoes all over NDC’s SS10 collection, as is the summer-esque boot (pictured). The side zip on these boots take these up a notch from NDC’s usual fare and it’s got that worn-in look that NDC lovers will, erm, love. Elsewhere there’s suede brogues, a handsome moccassin update and a pair of fringed tassle loafers.

Tis’ the season to buy navy suede boots – or so the old saying goes. We’d almost had enough of blue suede shoes because, let’s face it, how many of them do you need? But these chukkas are just too pretty for us to deny. If we had to make one criticism – and we do – it’d be that the vibram sole is a a little too thick for our tastes. But that’s just us being fussy. (The Bureau)

The “California Causual” brand drops a modified boat shoe constructed from supple leathers and a unique non-slip sole as well as aknee high galosh which is a good alternative to the “Hunter” Standard. There’s been a renaissance in summer shoes. A couple of years ago, it would’ve been tough to find many handsome summer shoes around but now we’re spoilt for choice – which can only be a good thing. We don’t know about you, but we’d rather have too much choice than too little.

We gave a sneak peek at Grensons’s SS10 collection the other day, but now we can show the whole hog. Built for summer, the shoes are unlined – making these far easier to wear during the summer months than your usual brogues. Styles are what you’d expect – oxfords, derbies, bucks and brogues all make an appearance. Take that leap to get a look at the rest of the collection.
