Pointer delivers a look at their forthcoming collaboration with Bleu de Paname. Showcased at their recently opened new flagship in Berlin, the Pointer brand continues to bring footwear that relaxes. Featured in white and indigo blue, the shoe is lightweight and breathable for the hot days of summer. They’re now available at the first ever Pointer Store, which officially opened today in Berlin.

Relax should be the theme of S/S 2012. While the demand continues for the heaviness of tough built men’s footwear, it is clear that the warm weather of the summer is pushing for more relaxed and lightweight takes. This week a fantastic new shoe has released from the Thom Browne Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection. New York designer Thom Browne produced a pair of Crepe soled wingtip Brogues in a beautiful dark brown leather. The heavy shoe features the Thom Browne logo tag on the in-sole and the signature tricolor ribbon on the heel. A beautiful shoe that can both be worn with a suit and more casual with a pair of jeans or chinos.

The shoe is now available in limited quantities from Soto Berlin.

We’re not sure what it is about modelling but it tends to bring out the slash in people. You know, model slash actor, slash skateboarder and so on. Armando Cabral is a slash shoemaker with the slight difference that his stuff is actually good – as opposed to just being tolerable (We’re looking at you Mr Gandy – you and your useless style tips).

A new model from the Oetzi3300 line of comfort walking shoes. Their Madlib model comes in three colorways – green, black, and taupe. Barefoot walkers will love the corklite footbed, “a perfect anatomical designed compression molded EVA footbed wrapped in a 1.8 mm cork laminate and finished with a 1.8mm suede cover.” An interesting and comforting take on summer footwear. This walking cousin of the Desert Boot gives the moc an interesting and clean re-look. The Desert Rain features a suede upper and a crepe sole and  features almost nothing extraordinary outside of the shape of the silhouette. Oi Polloi has them.
