More Autumn/Winter 2012 previews; the latest from the Tricker’s brand of footwear. The leather as well as colors may be familiar, as are the shapes, but pay close attention to new applications in pattern. The formal wingtip received a fresh application on the toe cap… we’d love to know your thoughts on this and the collection as a whole… again, just a preview. We’ll show a more complete look at the collection sometime this summer.

Buttero should be on everyone’s radar. The Italian shoe and sneaker maker, season after season, delivers some of our favorite modern takes on classic trainer and shoe silhouettes, accented in the most premium of leathers. The looks stand out on any display versus other makers. The high-top basketball leather sneaker remains outstanding – scratch that – every shoe in this collection is outstanding. A Selectism favorite for Autumn 2012.

From our point of view, the footwear game for Autumn Winter 2012 is a strong one, thanks to the likes of folks like Grenson. The boot above is only one of the many examples from their collection that we will happily keep an eye on the street for. The classic “Bean boot” gets a re-work and a high-end upgrade through strong leathers across three colorways. The gallery tells the Grenson story better than words can.

Artist, Steven Harrington known for his desert motifs works debuts a new collection with Generic Surplus. A new desert boot inspired boot under the Harrington name features tobacco brown beeswax leather with an EVA outside – against Harrington’s own graphics “embossed in dark earth on insole and heel.” Some of our favorite Generic Surplus shoes today. Big love.

Italy’s Car Shoe has received love from us a handful of times. Pitti Uomo offered us the opportunity to browse their side selection of footwear for both proper driving experiences but also the normal day to day walk about. Where to begin is difficult which is why we highly recommend spending some time in our gallery looking for your favorite.

Car Shoe should be around domestically Stateside. Bad boy status on this brand. The original.

We take a look at what’s on offer for Spring Summer 2012 from Sweden’s Gram. “Gram is all about making sophisticated sneakers…Our roots lie in the Scandinavian design aesthetic; design with clean lines and attention to details. Each model being unique in its own simplicity.”

Their prize shoe for the season is the 380g Insjöns navy runner shown above. The heavy duty linen fabric is created by Anette, weavers of incredible textiles since the 40s and suppliers to the Swedish Royal Court no less. We first previewed the Grenson S/S 2012 collection back at Pitt last year. We, of course, will be returning next week for even more. For now, we bring a wide selection of official Grenson looks. Spring/Summer continue to re-invent the classic silhouettes found in the brand’s archive – new takes on leather and soles bring freshness to the warm seasons. While heritage may have boomed, makers like Grenson continue to prove why their looks remain above that categorical listing.

Dazed & Confused, Jefferson Hack gets to work with Tod’s on a three-way capsule footwear collection featuring a loafer, lace-up and boot, available now at Colette Paris. The limited edition footwear from Tod’s get the Colette blue treatment on laces, sole, and stitching with all three shoes featuring black suede uppers. It is nice to see Mr. Hack in on this collection.
